You guys killed it with these IRs!!! Confession, I dislike Alnico Blues, they get to bright real quick and almost always sounds thin. The Bad Cat is like the redemption of this, FULL spectrum sound but with TONS of chime. This IR has replaced Greenbacks (my usual favourite) and H30-M25 IR combos I previously used on my patches. Great job!!! Please keep the IRs coming! And thank you for not overwhelming us with hundreds of files, but just a few quality ones.👌

Not sure what speakers you listened to the bassman clips on, but on full range speakers, there is a significant difference between the amp and the IRs

When ir technology can replicate speaker breakup/distortion at different volume levels, that will be a game changer.
@BlackWolfTribe3 жыл бұрын
Modelers are the go to nowadays because they are so good and always will be consistent with tone. And it’s very hard to tell the difference between real amp vs modeled amp.
@stevegardiner84733 жыл бұрын
@@BlackWolfTribe You're right about modellers being very consistent, tonewise but, part of the sound of any real world amp & speaker rig played at volume would consist of some degree of speaker breakup, and are a result of the interaction between amp and speaker. Modellers currently can't replicate this at the moment. Celestion are getting there with their DSR's but, they can only be used with their own proprietary software. I suspect it's going to be a while before modellers will support this kind of feature. Especially if different companies, such as Celestion, use different proprietary software to achieve this new level of authenticity.
@BlackWolfTribe3 жыл бұрын
@@stevegardiner8473 I understand but it’s not exactly crucial to have. Setting a modeler amp to edge of breakup sounds great as is. It would be cool to have that feature of having that differentiate by volume level, but it’s not a feature that’s really needed nor can it be used to down modelers. It’s barely a negative to be quite frank… the tone, versatility, consistency and efficiency and the price differential out weigh that feature by tons. They will eventually get that in the future, but man modelers are already near perfect man.
@stevegardiner84733 жыл бұрын
@@BlackWolfTribe You're missing the point. My original comment is nothing more than a correct observation of where the ir technology within modellers is currently at. Nobody is being 'down' on modellers. Certainly not me. I've used them since the mid 90's. I've used a line 6 Helix exclusively for the last four years! If you're happy with them as they are, fine. But you're mistaken if you think that speaker dynamics and interaction don't play quite a major part in most of the great guitar tones you've ever heard.

Awesome job guys. I think the new IRs sound way better than the old ones. Much more lively and 3D sounding. Did you guys change anything in your process to get these results?
@worshiptutorials3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We didn't really change anything - I think mostly it's just the cab/speakers themselves. We've been trying to hand-pick stuff that we think sounds really, really good in the real world and then replicate that digitally.

Any plans to make a patch with these two amps and new IRs in stereo? Methinks it would sound pretttyyyy gooooood
@keithbriscoe993 жыл бұрын
Feedback - the good kind... like when you're holding a note and then somehow you get those overtones (?) that blend in and make in sing and sustain (sorry, I don't really know what's happening technically). I thought this occurs when the sound from an actual speaker then hits the pickups and multiple sounds are then "feeding back" in a loop. So, can we actually get this when using Captor X with cab sims and listening only via Headphones?? thx I bought the captor x so I could (ever) play my silver jubilee. It's great, it's fun, but I feel like I'm missing something of the raw-ness that comes from using with a cab.
@blakeparadise99983 жыл бұрын
Loving the badcat patch on my hx stomp! Question for you guys on the captor x. Do you ever run your pedalboard (mono) into your amp and then to the captor x and out in stereo. Does it have a good stereo image with mono wet effects going into the amp?

Thanks so much! Running these on the Captor with my '64 Bassman head sounds exactly like mic'ing the cab. It's so much fun. It definitely makes me want to find some Jensen speakers of the same era and make IR's of those just to have that flavor as well.

it sounds like the real mics had some stereo separation, but the Two Notes IR was mono, is that right? stereo was so much better in my IEMs. hopefully someday helix gets a stereo IR block!

The real mic’d tone of the Bassman has significantly more “roominess” and it sounds less direct. Same overall tonal imprint but there’s more girth in the real audio.

Do you think God could let us take our pedals and guitars to heaven with some good speakers so when we come back to earth we can play or do you think he will let us take the guys who made them so that we can make then again later when we come back. From heaven. After the second coming. And if he does can we take drums too
