I totally wonder about my ancestors all the time. I wonder who's talents I inherited, who has the same toes I do, and if I have any throwback characteristics that haven't appeared in my bloodline for decades or centuries. I wonder what they were really like, what they did on May 14th at 3:07 PM, what they liked about themselves, and who their best friend in school was. I wonder all of that. This soap is beautiful. I'm glad you go the extra mile to use the fragrance no matter how much it misbehaves.

From what I understand, fingerprints are genetically passed down, but it's how we grow and form that causes them to be different. I was lookin at my fingerprints yesterday wondering about ancestors, and how far back could we go and still see the same base on our hands.

Hey Katie, I bought this soap a few days ago and I love it so much. TMI but I have pretty bad depression and it makes taking a shower regularly a big deal so I have to find things that get me excited to get me to get in the shower and this soap was it. I think about my ancestors and lineage so often!! I sew, as does my mother and grandmother, and almost every time I sew (especially by hand) I think about every single woman in my family who has sewn before me--likely every single woman that came before me, all the way back to Eve. I love that I get to be connected to all the women who made my life possible by doing what I love, and I am so grateful for the knowledge they have passed down through the generations to me! And for the QotD--I didn't play mermaids very often, but I was obsessed with the Warriors cat books and my favorite clan was Riverclan, so my friends and I pretended to be amphibious cats every single time we were in the pool!

I tried making an easy melt-and-pour after looking at several of these videos so I got a cheap kit to try so I didn’t exactly have high expectations for but I was still a bit disappointed. Not only because the instructions felt off. 20 grams of base for a soap? It didn’t even cover the bottom of the mould, it turned solid the moment I added the fragrance so pouring was a no go (I literally couldn’t get it out of the mug I was using to melt it in); said fragrance also discolored the soap so instead of blue, red with traces of purple? It turned greenish brown. I do think it was fun and a hobby I want to try but with better tools 😊
