Love your enthusiasm and the way you travel. I wish you well. Just one thing though, this shows that stealing someone's luggage is just not a thing in Japan. In general, Japanese are very very careful about everything and someone (maybe even the staff on the train) just could not believe that a piece of luggage was unattended and thought it was better to hand it into lost-luggage. Did you notice that office was very sparse? Have a look at any lost-property office at a train station in Europe and see the difference. It really highlights the way the Japanese conduct themselves.

Im not surprising : Japan and Singapore are the most safer and organised places. Japan hv maybe the best service. But on Manila airport a child give me my valet i was forget buying some candy minutes ago . I was waiting in the boarding aera. All the money was still inside . Thks again kid . what would be normal is that you hang on to your baggae. if other people can take it without you knowing, thats not hanging on to it

But if there is a dedicated luggage rack to put your stuff I wouldn't see it as normal to hold on to it. The train was too busy to hang on to it so we put it there because it was so busy so more people could get on. In the UK we always put our luggage in the luggage rack at the start of the train carriage so I guess we just assumed everyone does it the same.

The main reason is that we are near to the airport and we leave every 30 days. When we are in Bangkok we don't leave our condo much and just edit and teach to save enough go away again.

We were not broke when we booked Japan but had a lot of unexpected out goings in the lead up to it. Luckily there are lots of free things to do there. Commercial music? would love to know which songs you think are commercial?
