Can we fit in this TINY Japanese Campervan?
We try a tiny Japanese Camper Van (Kei Wagon) to start off our Japan vanlife series. In this Japan travel video, we pick the smallest campervan we have ever seen, give a van tour and spend a night in this micro van.

⭐ About Travel Beans:
Welcome to the official Travel Beans KZbin channel! On this channel, you’ll find a variety of travel and vlog content, in which you’ll see us in places like Thailand, Japan, USA, Slovenia, and more.
In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!
After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.
Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

We love that you guys are taking rather sticky situations with a positive and funny way. Japan is a wonderful country and culture to explore! Btw, I think the reason why they have microwave is because a lot of the food items you can buy at the convenient stores can be heated. They actually have microwaves in the convenient store so you can heat your food that you bought there, Happy travels 🙂

If someone has not said it and/ you have not read it... the two panels go to the top part of the pop up. You are suppose to sleep up top and then you have your space down below for your stuff so you don't need to move your bags around so much. Hope that helps a little.

You two are just hilarious! I absolutely adore your humor! And...that campervan....hahaha! It looks like one of those tiny matchbox toy cars. For some reason Gulliver's Travels comes to mind. LOL! Good thing you all have this on video, because no ones gonna believe THIS adventure! I can't wait for the day when your little travel bean is all grown up and you tell him "When i was pregnant with you, your dad and I went to Japan and traveled in a matchbox campervan". When he says "Yeah right", you can pull out the old video footage and say "Oh yeah, you don't believe us, take a look at this!" This should make one hilarious story to tell, and you have the video to prove it. Good thing Emma isn't nine months pregnant or you two will have to carry a can opener to get both of you out! 😁

Average height of a man in Japan is 5' 7". American man it's 5'9" so it's not THAT different and yet everything in Japan is made for 5' people for some reason. lol I think I would have seen how far the front seats reclined and just slept in those. If they recline and you put the luggage at your feet, you might be able to make a decent enough bed. SO interesting though to see how other countries do things. I would guess the microwave is for ramen or heating water.

I wonder if the front seats fold down, too - or can be moved forward to give you more room back there. Also, I was hoping you'd open all those little compartments with the push-buttons on them. Interesting that there's one at the top of the back door that seems to open on both sides. Maybe you'll find a secret collapsible cooler in one of those little compartments, haha! What fun. Do you guys ever share the costs of your trips? Just wondering about the expenses of flying to Japan and renting that little camper van. Thanks!

thats right. It seems a bit unworthy negativity for a minvan youre saying. Actually its more on the fact that you didn't know how to use it. Try reading manuals if there is. You mentioned you have tried RV's. But you didn't even know that you have to turn on switches to turn on the inverters. Thats the reason why youre thermo isn't functioning. It is even a much appreciated camping van as they are able to maximize the space for the equipments. Brilliant design. Like any other things, mostly ignorance of use causes the discomfort :)

I totally would have done this! LOL my husband's six three sometimes six four depending on who measures him and how tall he stands up but these are memories you'll never forget!! 💕 I know you know a little about van life but it does sound like an inverter/ converter is not on. If the TV doesn't work and the heater doesn't work there's an inverter you need to switch on for power.. I'm also wondering if that microwave isn't more like a toaster oven, that would make more sense. Microwaves need too much power even tiny ones for something that small. A couple other observations one is that shower head I think is really just the sink spicket however if you open the window behind it possibly you could use it outside? Although I like the usable table while you sleep idea I was thinking if you put those boards long ways again the space missing could be about that tablespace.. in other words the table would goes under the bedding.. maybe? It would cover the space there. I think a small inflatable bed underneath the mattress pads would make that a doable comfort level.. 💕 travel well my friends!! 👍❤️

Love minimal nose/front, the big windows, and it was a really powerful turbo deisel that had no trouble with all the mountains there. Next time you try vannin in Asia, shoot for one of those! Japan is a great place for "van life" the youtube channel Grizzly and Bear spent a good part of covid time there and enjoyed it. Japan has a lot of great parking places you can sleep in. Japan does have a problem of very little youth except in cities and if you travel to the ocean towns you need to be careful of being kidnapped by north koreans, not joking they had a problem with kids disappearing and they finally caught a group of north koreans trying to kidnap a teen. I hope you guys had a great time there.

Oh far out. This is so cool (and hilarious). Road tripping in Japan is one of our favourite things. We haven't done the camper van thing yet though - we enjoy staying in Ryokans too much. We did look at a bigger camper for our last trip, but it was going to work out too expensive to get something big enough for a fam of 4. Japan is great for stealth parking. But any driving in Japan is amazing. The trains are great but there are some places that are a lot easier to drive to than use public transport. We also went to Japan for our baby moon. My wife was about 6 months pregnant with number 2 at the time. Japan is the best for family travel. Have I mentioned how much I love road tripping in Japan? Check out all the videos on my channel if you don't believe me😂😂 I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of the Beans videos. PS the microwave in the van would be really handy for the Convenience store meals. They are really cheap and surprisingly delicious. Convenience store meals in Japan are sensational. Eating out almost anywhere in Japan is amazing, and cheap. PPS Road side stops, michi-no-eki, are awesome to stop at. Food and showers and toilets. Some even have onsen. The whole country is fabulous for road tripping.

Love your laughter and carry-on spirit. As for me and the Mrs., we would be in a hotel!

Japan?! I am so excited to see your travels! I watched this just after the Endless video in Maine with no heat. Parallels even on the other side of the world 😂 I love the idea about the van, and the rules they have, but realistically, I don't know that I'd like having 2 people in there, and I'd want a bed upgrade. But, as you said, it's about perspective and if you're in to camping, that's pretty lush. Best of luck on the adventures!

Looks like it is about the size of the little Ford Transit Connects that I've seen videos on. One thing you can do is look at what is in the van that you think may work for your Van back home in Britain. Like the fold out sink, etc. Safe and Happy travels to you!

2 of the happiest travelers ever. Congratulations on the pregnancy. Fyi Good support bra, you could not imagine what is to come when they fill with milk and afterwards. Love the little camper van just a bit too small. Keep bringing us amazingly good and funny content.

こんにちは! 映像を見てびっくりしました! Were you in Japan? And you rented a light camper. If it was the two of you, it seems that my camper would have been better. It seems that the FF heater could not be used, so I think it was cold. Since you are a pregnant woman, be careful not to catch a cold. I wonder if you were satisfied with the morning view by the lake.

We used to own a 4x8 Runaway mini camper. The space inside was similar to the Japanese van! Now we have a 2018 Ford Transit 250 we converted ourselves and we love the HUGE space! : ) We are retired couple 71 & 68 and campers, NOT van lifers! Be safe out there!
We spent 48 hours in world's SMALLEST campervan
