Worst day of my life (in TEKKEN 8) - Match Replay Analysis

The netplay session where everything went wrong. Genuinely one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with the game so far… I played some Quick Matches off-stream, so I decided to watch all of them and do some replay analysis. Quite cathartic!

I don't think that works - I've already used my tornado in that combo, so after the Heat Dash, the opponent is in technically the grounded state, so a Rage Art won't hit them.

Jab into ff4 is not optimal. You can use 2 or even d/f 1 which gives a smaller window for anywhere between +2 to +4 more damage per combo. Great video and vid review nonetheless.

Trust me, I know it is - in my Optimal Combos video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoDJiKtnbNKqmdU), I show the use of the 2 jab in combos using the FF4,2 route. I use the 1 jab over 2 or DF1 because it's an easier confirm and more consistent. I typically compromise between highest possible damage and consistency. Thanks for watching.

I understand. And to be fair: I say 'optimal' to refer to combos that gain great damage potential, and are consistent. So in my opinion, as long as you're doing 70 - 80 damage in this game, that's 'optimal'. Because there are combos that get slightly more damage than the ones I do, but it's not always consistent or possible.

That's the thing about netplay - high ranks contain everyone from pro players to pluggers and people that got there by being one-note.

I get it - I was explaining that people attempt risky mixups on you, when your 'turn' is over. Cause people might not get why someone would do a hellsweep with their back to the wall.
