Maaaannn! I was looking for your Guyver figma review and FINALLY stumbled across it!! Let me just say.....AMAZING LOLz! But wow, you weren't kidding when you said it was "The most FUCKED UP figma you have ever gotten". Mine had some flaws on it but nowhere near as bad as yours. When I first received this figma and compared it to the original BioFighter Max collection, I was really disappointed myself. I'm a huge Guyver fan, and I have to admit I was very heartbroken. Like a kid on Xmas who was expecting to get that new game system he was told he was going to have but instead got socks. I was a bit more forgiving of the figure over time and it sort of grew on me. It definitely beats the articulation of the old ones, however I just wish they would of made the figure a bit larger in scale and MY GOD dat face (I DIED at the zoom in and slow mo of those EYEZ 0:45) .... I've seen some where the face is actually pretty good but on most they are just so fucked up! I just hope that Guyver II F and Guyver III come out much better than their first take on Guyver I. It was a stab to my soul. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a Guyver I ver 2.0 like they did with the "extra head version" of the original BFC Max release.

When it comes to figures, it's pure unadulterated reaction. Model kits on the other hand take hours to build so I get over how awesome/meh/crappy they are before the review. Figures I see for the first time on camera.

I'm amazed at other reviewers being glowingly positive about this figure. While it does break up the sculpt more, the articulation is an improvement on the old Bio Fighter figures - but in every other respect the Figma gets trampled by a decade-old product also made by Max Factory. I can't believe they managed to completely miscast the face vs the prototype, and the paintwork is unforgivably sloppy. A real step backwards.

Clearly you haven't seen Figma Indy & the recent Bruce Lee, which is a complete disaster and is being mocked everywhere. Or perhaps figma tsugumori which is a mediocre product that costs nearly as much as the riobot ver on initial release for no reason. But you did see figma snake which shares some flaws with this guyver and adds some of his own like a torso that doesn't like to remain in position very much or a wonderfully bad face and a even worse one in its alternate. I know this is a joke video and I do appreciate humor, but this is a really good review channel and therefore some people are bound to take the video's title more seriously as a recommendation. Figma Guyver is by no means perfect and they clearly messed up with the paintjob in the chest and the shading is a bit too heavy and simplistic (the gundam marker comment was spot on), but 1. not every unit came as flawed as yours and 2. it has a great likeness to the original character and great articulation. It could be bigger for its price though. Then again we have disagreed on figmas' quality in the past (though this is the first time it happens like this, usually you praise some that aren't that good imo) and that's fine. Anyways that's about it, I was expecting a more in depth review. Looking forward to your next one!

+Captain Z The riobot is beautiful. The figma is fine...if it was priced at 4500Y or lower from day 1 since it's practically an inferior robot damashii. I also like the show and absolutely love that design so if it keeps going down I might get it. Lately Max Factory has been crazy with its pricing so hopefully they'll re-evaluate their politics instead of thinking "we're probably licensing the wrong franchises". I'd love to see a Guyver III someday but it seems unlikely.

It was entirely a joke, and it's far from the worst figma. Although at the same time it is the worst figma I've ever gotten in regard to sheer QC issues, as opposed to flaws in the core design. The review was scrapped, this and the last few videos have just been filler while I was fixing my computer and overhauling my review setup. Tomorrow will be the first day in over a month I've sat down to do a review.

+Mecha Gaikotsu I know it was a joke. I said so myself in the third paragraph. My main point was telling you that I think at this point you're a well known and respected figure reviewer and therefore a video title like that could create an image for the product that is undeserved. I wouldn't give two shits about it if it was schoolgirl release #451, but since it's something I want to see more of from Figma (not just the guyver franchise but more badass figures in general), I felt the need to respond properly even if it was a joke video. Yes, it's quite obvious that the video is not meant to be taken seriously, but I really believe that the internet is too big to predict how everyone in the audience is going to react to something. Disclaimer: not that I have a problem with figma releasing great female figures, I just ordered Ayase Eli and I'm eagerly anticipating Zero Suit Samus, so yeah I enjoy those reviews as well. Cheers!
