One logo change that felt underwhelming to me was the Walt Disney Home Video logo from 1992. Compared to the previous logos from 1978 and 86 respectively, it felt quite bland. It also didn't help that both the 86 _and_ 92 logos lasted until 2001.

Oversimplifying a logo is bad enough but changing it into something that has nothing to do with the previous logo or even the brand is already overkill.

My least favorite logo change was-and still is-the Boomerang logo. It used to be a capital blue “B” shaped like a boomerang (Although it looked more like a PS game controller) and the channel’s slogan was “It’s all coming back to you.” All of the promos included windup toys of classic Hanna-Barbera characters and music that absolutely slapped. The new logo is literally just a 4x4x2 box with a large capital “B” stamped at the top, “BOOM” shown on one side and “ERANG” shown on the other. And the promos are full of bright colors and music that I find absolutely bothersome. Seeing this logo change was one of the biggest tragedies of my childhood.
