I carry with an empty chamber for two reasons: my ccw doesn’t have an external safety, and I’m new to concealed carry and I haven’t had enough practice with drawing to feel comfortable with not accidentally shooting myself on the draw. Once I get more practiced with it and get one with an external safety I’ll probably switch to carrying chambered.

brother for sure practice your draw, they even have dry fire tools and dummy rounds for doing so, but even when a gun has a safety I NEVER use it while carrying, your finger should never go inside the trigger guard, until you are ready to shoot, EVER

Fun fact, I have been through that😂. Went hunting with my dad and his new hunting rifle. I set it on the four-wheeler and the scope came back, drivin right into my face. I have a scar between my eyebrows just above them down to my nose that looks like a freaking crescent moon😂. 6:20 Alright, embarrassing moment... I'm in the army, and from texas, only ever used ironsights, and only shot the m16 with any consistency. Get a hunting rifle for my birthday one year, with a decent scope on it, and absolutely no idea how to properly use it. I decide to shoot it the same way I shoot on ironsights. Upside, I sure as hell hit my target. Downside... I now have a pretty neat scar on my eyebrow.
