I carry with an empty chamber for two reasons: my ccw doesn’t have an external safety, and I’m new to concealed carry and I haven’t had enough practice with drawing to feel comfortable with not accidentally shooting myself on the draw. Once I get more practiced with it and get one with an external safety I’ll probably switch to carrying chambered.

brother for sure practice your draw, they even have dry fire tools and dummy rounds for doing so, but even when a gun has a safety I NEVER use it while carrying, your finger should never go inside the trigger guard, until you are ready to shoot, EVER

That “shotgun” that exploded had a ramrod underneath it. It was probably an inline muzzleloader. I could be wrong, but judging by the fact that it has a ram rod, it exploded, and there was barely any smoke, this guy was using smokeless powder (and a fuck ton at that) and the gun couldn’t handle it.
