Like you, I have been using the Life Changing Brushes and the Yoseng flexible brushes for 7 or 8 months. I have the full set of both and cannot find any appreciable difference between them. They both work great. If I buy another set, it will be the Yoseng, strictly because of price. The quality is there with both brands. Thank you for confirming my observations. I sure your video will be very helpful to many crafters.

Very informative video Ingrid, thanks. I picked up a set of makeup brushes at Walmart last year and they work great for ink blending. I tried a couple off of Amazon too. They looked different but performed the same for me. I haven't tried the Life Changing brushes yet. I also tend to reach for only one big brush every time. It cleans up easily between colors so I really don't need a bunch of brushes.

I think the real test is how long they last before wearing out. Can you keep us updated on any changes. I like supporting usa, but funds are funds as well, and if the cheaper ones last only a third of time as the life changing ones....I will go with life changing because you get what you pay for in the end.

I have the rose gold ones. I had never been able to blend without blotches with the little foams. I'm no professional and don't make a ton of cards, but the Yo Seng brushes work great for me. I actually hold the brush head with my thumb and second finger, leaving the index finger free to press harder if I need to. I want to support small business also, but frankly, this is like the Misti-- I find it difficult to believe the price difference is necessary.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it Sarah! I love those Yoseng brushes. I've tried several brands since making this video well over a year ago - and I still stand by my recommendation. Bottom line - all made in China, get them for $11, why not...lol! You'll love the small ones too - I have a separate video showing how to use those. Thanks for watching. Have a wonderful weekend. 😀😀🎨

Melissa I use the same one for all colors but I never blend black so maybe would use a different one for that. Between colors I rub it off on paper and then a microfiber towel. Sometimes I run it across a damp rag and let dry. I've had to problem with color transfer and love only needing one on my table.

Also, dye and distress ink clean off the best. I found that oxides are heavier and harder to clean.

Just wondering if anyone has used the Yoseng colored handle brushes and where they fall in the spectrum?
@IngridBlackburn
@IngridBlackburn 4 жыл бұрын
Great question. I hadn't seen those as I have SO many brushes already. I have loved all the yoseng brushes so far. I think the colored ones seem a bit on the pricey side (though cheaper than stamp stores). Probably know crafters will pay higher prices...lol. My fav so far are the black yoseng, the white ones from the photo don't look like they flare out the same way, but I could be wrong. Hmmm....not sure I need more blending brushes - I have over 50....lol! For the money, you can't go wrong if colored handles are important to you. Hope that helps!! :)

The Dollar Tree in Canada sells 3 different sizes and they sell them individually so you can buy just one size if you like. They blend beautifully and they are the same black handle and they are ergonomic. $1.25 each)

I'm not from the USA and all craft supplies are expensive in Europe because of the big craft companies are in the USA so I look at the funds. I have the Yoshe brushes(the set with big and small brushes) and I like them. And I just ordered 10 more of the bigger brushes to dedicade to different colours. 14 euro against 45 euro +18 euro shipping is really a no brainer to me, even if the cheaper ones would perform a little less than the picket fence brushes.
@IngridBlackburn

I agree with you! I had such a tough time with supplies when I lived in Germany in recent years, was quite frustrating. The yoseng are my favorite - they keep releasing more and more blending tools which is a bit comical to me. The yoseng are perfect, cost effective, and all someone needs....lol. Thanks for watching!!! 😀😀🎨

@@IngridBlackburn You are a pleasure to watch. I always get frustrated when I see all those wonderful kits coming out in the US. Off course I can get them but the costs are doubled by shipping and tripled by taxes and import fees. That's the reality of things over here.

I’m pretty sure they’re probably made in the same factory and are the SAME product. They are basically make up brushes that someone has called a craft product and put a premium price on! They’ve been around in the make up world a while. I have a set from amazon and they’re amazing. Cost me less than £10. They really blend inks so smoothly.

Thanks for doing comparison on yoseng vs life changing blending brushes. I have severe RA (with deformity) since I was 21yrs. old. For over 30yrs. I have artificial knuckles elbows and shoulders some are worn and dislocated. I need blending made easier but I also need to save money as I care of my 93yr old mom with dementia and so I'm on a tight budget. So I leaning towards the yoseng. Do either have a textured grip on handle? Excited to get something because foam blenders really tire my wrist, hands, even my shoulders out. Thanks again for sharing.
