AS OF 8-20-22 IT IS STILL WORKING GREAT I USE IT EVERY COUPLE MONTHS TO HIT ALL MY EDGES

I find it very hard to put together. The cord is blocking the hole for the screw.

I had no problem putting it together and never took the plastic tubing off at all.

Thank you for the demonstration...although we could use a new edger, we're actually looking for something like a narrow mini lawnmower, for very narrow spaces. When it was described as being 7.5 " in width, I thought it was a scaled-down mower, designed for areas where a conventional mower wouldn't fit, such as around flower beds, etc. Anyone out there with any suggestions? Thanks again!

I noticed that your front wheel was not touching the ground. It was quite a bit up in the air. I would’ve thought the front wheel should Touching the concrete.???

Yes I adjusted it to the ground afterwards. I didn't notice it was up for filming. It rests on the ground when it rolls

I’ve been putting together lawn equipment my whole adult life (I’m 72) and never had this experience with a product manual. It gives pages of BS instructions on how to use it, safety, maintenance, and other “important” information, but fails on telling you how to remove the black plastic tube covering the electrical wiring inside the shaft. Using a razor blade can be risky to the wires inside. But I guess that’s the only way. Probably why Works did not mention this at all in their manual. Nothing but figures on assembly. A child should be able to assembly this. It’s a no brainer, except for that yellow tag that simply says “remove the pipe before assembly”. No mention in the manual. Crazy. I’ll try and force those bolts through somehow, but will definitely call Works and let them know what I think. Update: I went back and gave it another college try and the bolts went in somewhat easily with that black plastic tubing in place. I had to move the wire out of the way to allow the bolt to go through. I accidentally put the bolts in from the wrong direction. I don’t think it matters. Now that they are through, I’m leaving them alone. I still would like to know how we were supposed to remove that black plastic tubing (all of it or how much). I’ll try and update this after I get a callback from Works.

@@mayaballiet8429they did not have an answer for me. I ended up returning it based on its performance. I purchased a new Black and Decker. That was worse. The shaft could not be secured so that it does not wobble. I ended up purchasing a blade for my very old Black and Decker. That old edger workers great now that it has a new blade. I like new tools, but sometimes it’s best to keep the oldies.
