This is so helpful. Thank you very much. I don't understand why you have to buy this spool but can't buy the line separately. So I found out. What the trimmer line was. It's is 000.65 trimmer line. Put in a little hole. Wrap it really tight. This will be helpful to then I want to have to use that much line. Being a homeowner is hard sometimes but thank you.

If your line breaks, it will not autofeed. Those notches in the spool are only there to hold the line during storage so the string doesn't unwind.

Normally you tap it to get it to feed. Seems like his is broken and feeding all the time.

Your line release mechanism is stuck on open. It’s a little lever under the spool in the black tray. Try praying under the spool with WD40.

If you start and stop a lot it will auto feed 1/4” every time. I’m going to try it on consistently to see if I use less line

I have been buying line and wrapping it myself,I have been hooking it,and now I see videos where you don't hook it.,so actually I have been doing it wrong,I did not think they put those notches in just to hold the string during shipping.

Agreed the auto feed is a bit of a gimmick and waste of string latch and go you can always make minor adjustments as needed

Will the .080 line fit through the little hole on the spool, or is the diameter too thick? I know the .095 is way too thick to thread through the hole.

Do you have to thread it back down, like it shows in their STUPID instructions (which sucks)? I see you only threaded it one time up but not back down in the hole next to it?
