I always train my crews for view range and camo before repairs.

Same, with how things currently play, you either have a repkit ready for when you make a mistake, or you‘re dead anyways. Heck, i even sometimes train the mobility stuff before repairs just cause you gain so much versatility and can outright avoid bad situations much easier. Plus, view range and camo are the only skills that are essential throughout the whole match, from start to finish and no matter what situation

This is my favorite tier 8 soviet med, maybe even my favorite tier 8 medium all together. However it's not noob friendly. Many will say the T-44-100 is a better machine but I personally prefer this one as I like high alpha tanks.

I think that Tank Encyclopedia has documentation for the Object 416 tactics. It would work for all the rear mounted mediums. The Object was suppose to be a recon/support tank. Since it can't just gun depression, they came up with the idea that you sit inside a dip, then you drive up the back bank, using gun elevation, showing only your turret, while the front bank hides the hull.

Once again its hard to pull off these kinds of games without a significant muppet factor. The Tiger I, the Tiger P and both VK's in the first battle played like bots...on the same flank. Of course they made for a great laugh bc you had to know they would play that way. Way to go Guard player!

Claus - the side armor isnt bad...overmatch on 45mm needs a gun at least 135mm caliber or bigger. Not too many of those, so for all 100, 122, & 128 - just angle!! ;)

and it's russian 45mm side armour so you need 152mm gun to overmatch it

Just bought this tank with bonds. Im going the K91 line on the russian mediums (yes i know... im a horrible man but hey.. if you cant beat them join them) and i didnt have a crew trainer. Im at the A43 now and i intend to carry this crew all the way to the end so when i get to tier10 ill have a perfect crew. Hopefully. So after watching Claus`s great series about bond tanks i decided to get the STG. So far so good, the tank is really really good

My worst one was the Centurion 1. Good luck hitting anything over 250m with your 0.32 Acc there. It was just infuriating watching the shots corkscrew all over the place. The charioteer was gives me grief with it's sigma, even with improved aiming equipped.

Good point about getting a tank that has a good regular ammo to save money. To that point, why would you put food in a slot, especially giving up a fire extinguisher? 10,000 credits lost every battle, and god forbid you get lit up!

Food helps big time. And nobody pays 10k for food, you buy on discount in bulks. Even if you do buy food every battle it's not gonna hurt too much at all.

1st game all 3 enemy artillery ignore the stg guard spotted a dozen times and on the same side of map until the end of the match, where they miss every shot at him at close range....me not getting spotted the entire game in my stg guard but still taking blind shots from enemy artillery, or dying instantly to all 3 artillery the moment I'm spotted. Glad the age of 2 minute 6 clicker games is over with sound detection. 2ed game, stg guard is played aggressively as close range brawler support how it's not supposed to be played in tier 9 match and player is rewarded with a great game again...me taking multiple critical damages after getting hit with jagtiger from stupid play right at start. Claus making another amusing video for a living and laughing it up. What have we learned here?

Great vid and commentary, as always! For the aim, I suspect that there is a hidden statistic that distributes hit chance all over that aiming circle (and that means that aiming inside the circle is not completely random). It would be easy to check, actually, but IDC, I'm just having fun. Have a nice day Claus!

There are hidden stats that you can easily see: dispersion on the move, dispersion when turning the tank, dispersion after turning the turret.

I make a lot les credits whenever I play heavy tanks but mediums make a lot more credits because I’m usually fighting others Meds on the medium flank or shooting heavies in the sides after flanking. Of course, sometimes on some maps you end up fighting’s heavies heads on while playing mediums. However when I play heavies, I’m almost always facing heavies with their lower players hidden and I have to shoot gold to pen them.

For better survivability I use modified configuration because an engine is on the front and this tank burning too often.

I have with for years and hate it from the day one. Yes, now it is buffed but there are sooooo many better tier VIII prwmium mediums in this game. If I want to play TD style, I'll take the TD. Not the medium tank with no gun depression.

I have an STG Guard too, and it's mainly gathering dust in my garage for exactly the reasons you mention. Just buy a much better premium tank for Euros, Dollars or whatever and spend the bonds on improved equipment. These replays are highlights. In reality an average player does 1000 to 1500 damage in a reasonable game with this thing. More is just lucky for 90% of the STG players. The buffs are nice cause better than nothing, but insignificant for battlefield performance.

i think that mediocre players who understand cammo and bush mechanics (like me) do well in the Guard. If you have talent for more mobile and aggressive play the Guard might indeed not be the best choice.

@@pewpewpewpew7467 It's not avout that. I just don't see the point of playing the Guard. If I want that playstyle, I'll play SU-130 and do much more from the same positions. For me, mediums should not be played like TDs unless you have to because of game development. But not by default.

this guy on my team would rushed the hill and got shit on and died in 8 seconds, i'm pretty sure my whole account is cursed, ive been trying everything to win, my total damage has gone up 20 points (out of 28,000+ battles) but my win ratio keeps going down, so i barely play anymore tbh, every time i log in i just get this feeling "ima click battle, every shot will go high or low, or bounce, my team will melt, or i'll do amazing and still get a loss" it's super depressing watch the youtube guys, none of what i see them do works for me, literally none of it. guy takes his batchat across the swamp to proxy the meds on the hill on whatever map that is, does 7k dmg or something, that cant happen for me , the middle would be full of other tanks and you die, and yet they do these things over and over, i couldnt push the hill like the guy in this video, they just push around and kill you, OR there is 3 unicums with borrasqes already on the hill shooting you when you get there i dunno , it's like i'm playing a different game, ill buy the guard and put my amazing 10 year old russian medium crew in it and i'll never hit anything, my account has been locked into bad rng mode i really am starting to think it's just that way

Yeah, pretty much. This is why I avoid buying german premium above Tier 7 because the russian bias is too strong on high tier towards any german or any non-russian accurate gun premium tank. But somehow the russian accuracy is quite generous toward US and UK tanks. Probably because the lend lease program during the great patriotic war. But not so much on the other allied tank like France and the PRC one.,

16:30 Don't you get more XP for damaging/killing higher tier tanks? I always thought the XP and credits you earner were based on the tier of tank you damage/kill based on your own tier. In a tier 8 you would receive more XP and credits damaging/killing tier 9s and 10s than you would against tier 6s and 7s. Am I right or wrong?

when i watch the first game i cannot help but think why is no one shooting him he has sat in that bush what 5 times now shoot the bush how does no one ever get blind fired in these situations most bushes have 1-2 uses for me then they get pelted with rounds

If you filter for great games on the upload sites you're a lot more likely to see games where the enemy team makes bad mistakes; there's usually an element of enemy muppetry in great games. Not to take away from the players who have them--you still have to be good to cash in when you get that kind of opportunity--but games where the enemy team does smart things like blind fire obvious sniping bushes don't usually end up with eye-popping damage and spotting numbers for one player.

Little higher pen would be nice on guard.or even better more view range. I have almost 60% wr with it. Love it. Balanced tonk. Ap is little slow for long range snipe. Apcr is great tough.. 😎

I really think you are wrong about how dispersion works. Tanks have different dispersions (size of fully aimed sim circled) but every tank has the exact same variability (RNG) within whatever fully aimed aim circled they have. The formulae for RNG is the exact same for every tank. It’s just a misperception that same tanks have less RNG variability and some have worse. That’s simply not true.
