Correction to your time limited drakes: Plague was also naxx tier but completing it on 10 man: I know this because I am a proud owner of one on retail and its how I got my 310% mount. Rusted and well can't remember the other one now because I don't play anymore, was the Ulduar versions.

The 25man version of Ulduar is called Ironbound Proto Drake

Plague was 10man Glory, Black was 25m , Rusted was 10m Ulduar Glory and Ironbound 25m respectively. Really surprised WillE got this wrong, it's common knowledge.

Yeah plague is from 10 man naxx. black is from 25. Rusty ironb is from 10 man Ulduar, Ironbound proto is from 25 man Ulduar. WillE did not play wotlk confirmed!

I remember during the original Wrath release seeing the timelost drake fly over head. However I did not have my flying mount at the time and could not chase it down. I was so close, yet I never got it. It haunts me to this day.

Yeah gresil is the thin purple mh dps weapon. tHC was a tank weapon like this one, but ended up being bis for dps too, due to how op weapon skills were in vanilla.

I actually got the Time-Lost protodrake a few weeks after the Ulduar raid patch. Was just flying by ulduar, happen to see it, pulled it down on my deathknight and killed it as fast as possible. Was my last great achievement before I quit the game until MoP.

Funny story about the TLPD... my first character leveling in original wotlk, stumbled across the rarespawn, killed and looted it, few hours later i was emptying bags, talked to clanmates who told me about it... then i couldn't learn it for roughly 6 months lol

i found a Time Lost Proto drake while lvlingmy DK main in Wrath i killed the dragon at lvl 68 with about 700HP left and i still use that mount on Retail (when i lvl to max) and its the best

Quick note: Plagued Proto Drake was the 10 man version of the Black Proto Drake, it wasn't the Ulduar Version. Ulduar had it's own set of Proto Drakes for 25/10, Ironbound Proto Drake and Rusted Proto Drake

My favorite mount from Wrath was the green proto drake. You got it from a "mysterious egg" that you bought from The Oracles faction quartermaster. Just needed to be revered to buy it, it cost only a few gold, but it took 7 days to hatch and you could only buy one at a time. On top of that, other things could come out of the egg instead of the mount. The mount had a very low drop rate, of course lol but you could also get a few different pets (that could be traded or sold on the AH), or "aged yolk" that could be eaten to regain health while sitting. I think it took me about 6 eggs for the character that actually got it. Had a couple other characters that kept buying eggs far beyond that but never got the mount. From what I remember, most classes could solo grind rep for the faction at 80, as there is a boss youll eventually need to defeat in order to unlock the dailies, and he can be a bit of a pain for some classes. Or maybe I just sucked lol Which is most likely the case.

A video on 310% drakes / 310% riding might be warranted. Each raid tier had a pair from 10/25 respectively, there were gladiator mounts, there was the red proto from dungeon achievements, and there was the violet proto from "what a long, strange trip it's been" achievement.

My personal favorite vanity item from WotLK is Precious’ Ribbon, the shirt slot item that drops from Precious in ICC. The Best in Show buff is one of two things I wish I could just transfer back in time to Wrath classic.

It was possible to tame spirit beast in TBC allready but blizz fixed it pretty fast. You needed heroism/drums and you might get it. Had it on my hunter. It was regural wolf with spiritbeast skin. It was called Grimtotem Spirit wolf and it was located in duswallow marsh

I remember also getting the meta gem that has chance on spellcast to reduce your next spell cast time by 50% - spam aspects until it procs, then get a really fast tame beast cast to get it before it despawns. That's how I got it haha

IIRC, Quel'Delar war buggy week one of release and the drop rate was nutty high. Got it on my first run with my Ret Belf Alt back then, massive upgrade at the time :D

Hi Willy! An interesting video you might want is that in Wrath, achievements were character locked, leading to some insane shenanigans. I remember being part of the Twinking community, and me and my buddies spent hundreds if not thousands of hours grinding out "the insane" achievement on a twinked out level 19 character, some people did it on level 1s as well. You could also do like the Kalu'ak fishing derby for a fishing pole that had the same set-up as the Quenched sword, it was uncapped so you would smack people with a blue fishing pole.

One small detail you forgot to mention about Time-lost Proto Drake. The fact that it's a 50/50 chance to be Vyragosa instead of TLPD every time it spawns, effectively cutting your chances at getting the mount in half before you even start farming it.

It used to be that vyragoa would spawn and after killing her there was a 1/16 chance of the next spawn being TLPD.

Awe the Time-Lost proto drake....that spawned right in front of me on my way to a quest turn in....I was soooooo excited after having sat waiting for it to spawn countless of times. A person farming it at the time got mad and insisted I give him the drake as he stated he had been there for 2 hours waiting for it to spawn....oh well!!!! Loque' nahak was another one that I was lucky enough to have spawn right in front of me while I was mining on my hunter.

I got the time lost proto Drake on my birthday lol. I was drunk from going out and came home to do some farming and drunkingly ran into it not even knowing what it was till my brain caught up. I panicked and flew to the ground to fight it and couldn't believe how lucky I was. Then a year later I got the fucking green one from the eggs on my birthday. My luck back in retail WoW was genuinely astounding lol.

@@27toten That wasn't really about Engi tho. Hpal was by far the best Healer in both PvE and PvP. It was absolutely overtuned compared to the other healing specs. Having 1400 Res with instaheals and more procs for instaheals, optionally get out of jail cards for stuns or a flatout 6% dmg reduction with insane defensive cooldowns all while not being nearly as mana hungry as disc. Not to mention they could also be human, so playing double TOC and TOGC mp5 trinket was absolutely broken on it's own. The only thing they didn't do was damage.

So, the real reason enti was changed was that it had hidden stats. It said the damage was 2-4, but it was really 2-170. The enchant part was also a sweet bonus.

When the SP episode came out, they opened a bunch of new servers. It was only 4 months before TBC and that's what got me into the game. In Wrath, I ran into Loque on my Hunter when I was too low to tame him. But, I did eventually get him after spending about two weeks doing laps of Sholazar and getting hundreds of stacks of ore. Lol. He's still my main pet in Retail.

I got so lucky with my TLPD - I had taken a year off and after coming back logged into my toon I was camping it on, flew around a lil bit and it spawned. Pretty sure I only played for another week or 2 then quit again too lol..

I do think blizz should take a different approach towards realm first raid achievements on classic wrath. Currently on retail there is the Hall of Fame (HoF) system that gives the title to the first 100 horde and 100 alliance guilds to clear the final boss on mythic. With the state of megaservers currently on Classic I think a HoF approach would be much more realistic rather then just 25 people on the megaservers getting it.

Tho Top100 might be a bit too much. Raids like TOGC, ICC and Ulduar will be cleared in the span of 1-2hours for many highend guilds and is nowhere near compareable to retail difficulty of raiding. That would just make it common and devalue the title on it's own, which in return is the opposite of what it was supposed to be.

@@Lascar233 Well however you rate the game is your individual opinion. Tho the rate went from 100% to 1%, not 0.01%. Not a single mount in the game has the dropchance of 1/10000, they all stop at 1/2000

@@yan-zhilinn1402 now that i look closely yes i made a mistake 0.1% was what i was supposed to type. The rate was never 100% no. The claimed rate by database was said to be 1%. The rate by count of drop recorded between 0.8-1.3% based on a 40k players acquisition during wotlk. and that changed at cataclysm there was a bluepost on it that older raids drops will all become 0.1% drop because they wanted it so that when wow changes totally, all you had achieved before become significantly more valuable at the same time making it more difficult to recreate as the old content would become significantly easier to clear with cata changes.

@@Lascar233 During Patch 3.3.0 (ICC release) to 4.0.1 (prepatch Cata) Invincible was a *guaranteed* drop when killing 25HC LK. Once Cata got officially launched, Invincibles droprate went down to 1% and stayed there ever since. I killed LK25HC multiple times a week 13 years ago aswell as on private servers. I am not sure where you got your stats, but I can already tell, you never killed LK25HC when he was current content. You'd know he was guaranteed every ID.

Edit: You got your drake lore wrong. Plague protodrake was from 10 man naxx meta achievements and was also removed in 3.1, naxx was the only tier that they removed the mounts from. Ulduar had the Iron (25) and Rusted (10) proto drakes and are both still obtainable to this day. I'm still impressed everytime I see a plagued or black proto drake. Never got the undying and immortal done. Always had someone die to something stupid. Most painful failed immortal run was when a hunter ninja afking on KT and dying in a void zone. Guy was IRL friends with the GM so he didn't even get chewed out for it.
