He’s probably the most influential person in the 20th century. Again, influential doesn’t mean good or bad. Just overview of what influence did a person have…and he takes the cake. Convinced tens of millions. Invaded a dozen countries, responsible for tens of millions of deaths, and probably, most importantly, his choices shaped the world the way the world looks today.

Hitler's fame won't last, though. The role of Most Famous Ruthless Dictator Used In Hypothetical Examples of Evil Dictators is updated every century or two. Before Hitler it was Napoleon. In the days of the Roman Republic, a general from the first Civil War named Sulla was their Hitler figure, before he was replaced by Caligula and Nero in the Roman Empire. One day there will be a new Hitler, and the old Hitler will go in the dustbin of history along side Kaiser Wilhelm.

By 1935, Hitler power was already consolidated, and his atrocities were happening or in motion. Nothing that could be done in an interview to stop him. This guy makes zero sense. He literally claimed that always having an interview with Hitler makes sense, but having an interview with Alex Jones doesn’t. Even if you did, give an oxygen to individual with your platform Hitler, even at his height, or lowest, will still give an oxygen his agenda he just will be greater. Alex Jones might be a little bit wild, but but even Harris admitted that there is some truth covered with what the falsehoods , but as a person that rambles, it’s about dissecting what the truth is and not truth and if you can actually come into a middle agreement with somebody, that’s the goal. If they are wrong trying to come to a solution in the middle is what matters if that person does not wanna come to solution that would be shown as that person is radical or is not wanting to be understood and that’s the point of a true interview. Then he talks about how Islam’s flew their plane into the building, which, yes, that is true, but he fails to mention that humans tend to act in irrational ways when they have been hurt, and he has been hurt, but he failed to mention all the stuff America has done to other countries even as an American I can understand why it happened or if it didn’t happen, but having this discussion is what matters even if you can’t understand it trying to understand it is where the art is

Sam is drastically underestimating Adolf Hitler here. I feel reasonably confident Hitler would run circles around Sam, setting a hundred small fires in exactly the way Sam fears Brett Weinstein would do to him, only worse. One look at Hitler’s oratorical, debating, and real time negotiating skills would be enough to make any sane person pause before volunteering to give him a platform. Give Hitler a platform yes, but be fully prepared and on your A game. The man was no slouch. I say this as a fan of Sam and (need I say?) no fan of Hitler.

Yeah, people forget how powerful Hitler was with his oratorical skills. It is just now that we give it that negative meaning, but people at the time didn't know where it would all lead. Yeah, sure he was talking about all the horrible stuff right from the beginning but just look how much slack we give people nowadays for all the terrible sh*t they say and then we are somehow surprised when it finally comes out. If you ever gave a damn about his rise and studied it, you could see how charismatic he was. It wasn't just the passionate speeches, it was also all the visits where was seen as some sort of sex symbol for women and role model for children. It really looked liked he loved his nation and was ready to fiercly defend it on a world stage. There is so much more to the whole topic than simple 'Hitler was evil', while there is some truth in that, you got to look into it to understand the desire for German unification and all the struggles surrounding it. If you really think about it, Hitler was the man who unified all German states into single nation, a legacy that still stands (Well, only Austria decided to leave). Hitler was able to evoke emotions in people that so many already felt, that's why he was able to conquer and then corrupt minds of so many people.

It’s been about a year since Sam’s brain broke, and after all this time to reflect, the dude still can’t admit he was wrong about ANYTHING. All of the smartest people I know have at least one thing in common - they know that they don’t know everything….but not Sam apparently….everyone is wrong except him.

So to be president is to be popular and entertaining but Sam has said he liked most of Trump's policies . He brings up with Trump We were close to nuclear Armageddon but we are closer now with Biden.

I don't want to imagine what Trump would have done when Putin invaded the Ukraine. What Trump did when COVID started to spread, was damaging enough.

@@silence8806 imagine away? It didn't happen with Trump, North Korea the same. This wouldn't have happened with Trump. Do you think Trump is so stupid he doesn't understand the concept he and his family could be wiped out if he shot a nuke at Russia. The worst thing he would have done is nothing.

In order to think this way he has to start from a place where he's giving anyone a gift by just talking to them. On the most fundamental level he sees himself above others. Truly disgusting
