The match day experience is seeing the whole city filled with black and white shirts walking up the hill before the game, the bars packed with singing fans, the 90 minutes of passion and noise, the flag displays, and the football itself. I’m dead against the Disneyfication of Premier League football and would hate it to happen to our club. By all means upgrade SJP with better food stalls and bars, but don’t rip the heart and soul out of it by making it just another soulless commercial entity.

City's ground has one pub nearby and its horrid, Newcastle have hundreds of pubs and restaurants within a 5 minute walk and both home & away fans prefer these venues than a fanzone.

In reality, if the club want to get that matchday revenue in via a fanzone, the stadium needs to be out of town.

We have quite a few ex footballers in our present squad. Put them to good use. And we could have a Toon Coaster running around the top of the ground, like they have around New York New York in Vegas

Giv ova, you seem to want a new stadium now. The toon have about 10 times more pubs within spitting distance. Love the fanzone idea, we have something like that at the Toronto team games. Every 2 weeks to do this is a no brainer, even charge a small entry fee put up a really big screen and show the match to those who can't get into St. James might help our ffp. make it a day out event, although what you'd do about the winter weather is something else. Great bit.

@@newcastlefanstv We dont need a contrived fan zone, especially not like palace. Where they have conducted chanting and trying to build a community cos, they don't naturally have a tribal identity. As for Man city. Again all contrived. The have s huge ex games complex to play with. The real issue is why did N cc give planning permission to build in the gallowgate area, knowing, nufc would expand at some point. It all smells...

Our stadium is cursed, Move to the land on Quayside as they are knocking down the Arena. So selfish not to move as we are stopping 10s of thousands of people the chance of watching the lads.

Why handicap the club! Its the people that are in the ground not the location that make st James park special and if the club wants to evolve into a world dominating force we have to look elswhere!

It's not handicapping if there's activities in Leazes Park, like ex players speaking, things for kids, wouldn't take anything away from inside.

all we have atm is drummer joe who must be minted on a match day 😂😂 one game there was African drummers on don't know why, but at least it was something. and it needs to be in front of the gallowgate cos that's where most people come from might be wrong on that one but that road should be closed earlier and buzzing ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️

It's quite right you're thinking this way. Football nowadays can be much more than just merely turning up and go. It's an event, it's a day out, an experience inside and outside the ground. Inside could be half time competitions, fireworks that the players walk out to, whatever. It all needs reviewing now that the owners are moving the club forward.

knock down all the listed buildings behind the East stand they can be rebuilt anywhere in the north east they are not important to the city enlarging the ground is. As for asking permission to demolish the city elders have to remember what this club generates and what it can in the future. besides the students that live there can sod off to the many appartments this city has built for them. There is your 80,000 seater just waiting.
