Fun Fact: Kyubei like many characters in Gintama is based of real life people. Yagyu Kyubei is based off Yagyu Jyubei who was a man. So she calls herself Jyubei cause of two reasons 1) she is a man just like the original guy and 2) Kyu means 9 and Jyu means 10 so it is kind of implied that 9 + 1 rod = 10

This anime is one of a kind, way above any shonen, now that you are approaching the final arcs (which are the best) I want you to enjoy it, because once it ends you will feel an emptiness that no other anime will be able to fill.
