Absolutely, one of the main things on a Gold Chain is the overall luster. Some people use hairspray, or other things, and that can definitely dull the shine factor and then the chain will need some attention. The Good news is Solid Gold can rebound and look fantastic again with the right care.

He doesn't buy or receive anything plated on steel or silver. If solid gold pieces look green like that, then it's either corroded by a strong oxidizer or acid, or the alloys are low quality

@IlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlII Regardless of whether it is solid 14kt =58.33% pure, 10kt =41.66%, or 18kt=75% pure gold, it ALL gets a bath at the end in plating. He plates his stuff as well before he sells it. I think he even made a video of this process.
