you gotta get an allay to help with sand digging! having 1-3 of those friendly lil guys flying behind you and picking up all the item entities for you makes the whole thing so much less fiddly. they are so good for all kinds of bulk instamine resource harvesting - ice, sand, dirt, stone with beacon. they're such helpful buddies!

For future sand collecting endeavours, bring some allays to the desert and breed 4-5 of them. They will follow you around, collecting all the loose sand blocks and throw them at you. It's a HUGE time saver - you never have to stop digging except to unload into a shulker. Then you can just leave them tied up to a hitching post and use them again next time.

Iskall, your container buddies will help you with sand collection. Hand them a block of sand and go desert mining. They will pickup stray drops that you didn't. Efficient.

Your shop testing was hilarious and so accurate, haha! 🤣 Scar and Grian will totally find every possible way to break it, and there will definitely be complaints about the transferring of so many items into the payment bin. Doc needs to add a shulker unloader that also gives the customer their boxes back if he wants this to even remotely work out. Or just use diamonds like a normal person. 🙄😆

If he values sand at 2 diamonds per stack and scar sells it for cheaper (say 1 diamond for 2 stacks which I think I reasonable) then he starts to lose profit. The main problem with Doc’s system is his choice of currency is something that is being sold by scar

Scar could undercut it and make it 2 stacks per 1 diamond but he'd only be hurting himself in terms of profits and more work by getting cleaned out anytime someone wants to buy wood. All the while only helping Doc because I don't think Doc cares about the value of the sand he just wants other hermits to dig it so he can get his "revenge" for not being allowed to use sand duping or the infinite storage glitch. He just wants his hourglass full lol.

Yeah, that's how I feel. If that was my option for getting wood, I'd definitely just cut my own trees down instead. Unless it were mangrove. I would happily shovel 3 shulkers of sand for a shulker of mangrove logs (because I'm not talented enough with redstone to make a farm for those things). But as we know, Doc doesn't have that permit, so the pricing is really going to shoot him in the foot in the end IMO. The whole point of having shops is to make it convenient for people to gather their currency, and reuse said currency to buy other peoples stuff without the hassle of doing work or conversions, etc. in between. There's probably going to be a rule next season that only diamonds can be used as currency.
