I kinda prefer the base without lore, it just happens to be what Iskall felt like building. Here, he feels like adding the lore of an internet cafe, and that feels good. If he forced himself to spend ages working on something without enjoying it, that’d feel worse

Yeah the lore starts out funny then it just ends up feeling like they are constrained by it. Instead of building what they want they struggle to figure out something that fits. But it's Unhinged Iskall and season 10 rated X so who knows what might happen.

Legit, people have their own ways of approaching their builds. Some have lore and some don't. That's completely fine! Stress's base is dedicated to her past seasons, so that's cool. Etho's been winging it since forever and just builds his base to accomodate whatever he needs! It's okay to take your time! And it's super okay to not have lore. I don't think it's as ever important as your enjoyment of the game.

It even ties into your base's general theme of chaos (which, there could be an in-universe explanation for why this place is so chaotic at some point as soon as one finds its way to you. Alternatively, the chaos could just speak for itself without a need to be tied together by some explanation).

Pearl: Your story has a lot of holes. Iskall: Yeah, it's wholesome, ain't it? Pearl may be perfect but Iskall is ingenious. That was very clever, kudos! And Pearl is just weird enough in her own way to get along with you. In fact, she's much more of a weirdo (I say that in the most positive way possible) than she lets on in collabs. It would be cool to see you and Pearl do more together! The internet cafe idea is awesome! I like the thought of you have multiple shops on the ground floor of the building. They don't even have to be fancy since you're going for a "PAC" post-apocalyptic chaos-punk, right? The shop next to the internet cafe could be destroyed having been looted/set on fire. Maybe it was a lawyer office lol

Petition for Iskall to sell miniatures of Etho in a secret no-permit shop and call them Weetho. Later he could expand the shop's offerings to include all kinds of underground goods. The Weetho figurine could be the mascot for the shop and players who are in the know about the underground market would also display their Weetho figurines in their bases. When "The Man" inevitably raids the illegal shop it can all be blamed on Etho because it appears to be his shop.

My trick for lore: do what you want to, build what you wants to, and do it backwards from there. Have a nice cottage? Maybe a woodsman lives in there (or you ARE the woodsman). Have an an apolocyliptic battlefield? Maybe radiation or a giant monster destroyed civilization.

The Postman is a novel by David Brin where a guy finds an old Postmaster uniform in a destroyed mail truck. You could build a destroyed mail truck and have your mailbox in there on the way to your front door. The email coffee shop is cool too.

Lore: back story. So far you have indicated that there was an apocalypse and that a civilization before lived in modern apartments with shops and a mail system. They have kept a lot of their tech going with neon lights and still having mail and etc. Lore flows from creativity and creativity flows again from the lore.❤

I don't need Iskall to make lore, I can make it myself. He is clearly a TNT factory owner who bought an abandoned Willy Wonka chocolate factory and is moving his operation into it, having to make due with the chaotic layout from the previous owner's chaotic whims. The fact that Iskall doesn't make lore adds to the idea that he is just a new person moving into an already existing structure that he doesn't care about the lore of as long as he can use it for his own needs. The lore builds itself through the buildings and the mystery of what it could have been is excellent.

but threre is lore! you are the madman that's taking care of a runned off old factory with extremely dangerous components, this factory was around a almos abandoned comunity(if you do the villager apartment thing) and everything is kinda 90s so we can say this is when the factory died and now only Iskall remains, that's also a cool excuse to build 90ish things

I personally don't care for lore. It can actually be a detractor imo. I do admire when someone dictates their building choices on some made up backstory, since then the buildings and the area feel connected and logical. But I really dont care when they start going on about who lived where and what their lives were like.

i just finished bingeing the last 5 or 6 vodskall-vods (i often end up watching a lot at once and then nothing for a lil while, and then a lot at once, and so on.. dunno why lol), and i was a bit sad when i finished the last one - "NOW what am i gonna do??" and then BAM, here you are once again! :3 thank you so much for all the great stuff, iskall, i absolutely love your stuff (and your builds look GREAT, don't let anyone tell you otherwise) keep it up, my friend, and keep having fun!! as long as you do, we will too :))

i have an ideaskall!!! for one of the corners of the build/maybe just a little building within, it'd be really cool to do a triangle shaped wall. so flat from stress's side, but it juts in diagonally for a bit on the other side up to a point! it's a super interesting way to add even more chaos to the structure. sending u lots of energy + inspiration !!

All the lore you need is he is Heinzkall Doofenshmirtz his arch nemesis is Agent Perry The platypus. He has built the Doofenshmirtz Evil inc. tower that holds his creeperinator of Doom. Splattered mustard on the side to drive the TRI-NEIGHBORHOOD AREA crazy. Built an alarm to warn the Tri-Neighborhood Area if his rocketinator Factory of Evil will blow up while he is Grocery shopping. Then he built a missioninator to force the entire TRI-NEIGHBORHOOD AREA to do all the hilarious pranks he has never had time to do because he is busy building his inator to take over the whole TRI-NEIGHBORHOOD AREA. Iskall, let the lore grow naturally. Don't try to plant it, water it or bonemeal it. Forced lore is worse than no lore, especially if you end up not enjoying the game due to it. Besides, we don't watch you for the lore, we watch you because you're you. And that's all we need.

Being forced to add lore is such a weird concept. Like imagine going up to a child playing Lego and critiquing their lack of story structure. That's not what the product is for! Please don't feel pressured to do anything of the sort, at least in my opinion the enjoyment of your content comes from your personality and upbeat attitude. Certainly not from you trying to be a "Master builder" or "pro Minecraft player." Play the game because it makes you happy, in the way you enjoy.

I am lore master and I can tell lore is easy. First comes a lore - then we proceed to blore, - we check time from clore. - Dlore met Flore in midnight and Elore was middleman in negotiation. - Glore was impressed with services of Hlore. - At next day I-lore, marketing leader of global Fruit product was testing next gen Jlore and Klore devices. Llore was left out, because nobody cannot pronounce it. - Mlore and Nlore was brothers in alpha/beta war. - Olore was using his trusty ex-Plore rocket to go far and beyond, and met alien Qlore who was almost identical, how funny is that? - in mirror world Rlore is word that every swedish need to pronounce correctly or they will exiled to Finland. - Next lore is slur and we skip it. - Tlore, Ulore and Vlore was three Ice jotun who was anchestral founders of great Iskall family: Ice, cold and gold. - Nobody knows, Wlore, Xlore, Ylore, Zlore but we know, many things can happened in the Twilight zone.
