Be a little strict with those kids or else they won’t leave you alone. Say “Boro” means leave. No matter what you do they will follow you if your a foreigner. Even for afghans going there from Europe or US they feel the same. Those kids are used to it and they know the game.

Ben don’t eat salad or any vegetables there. The safest food is bbq kebab, rice, fresh bread, cookies cakes from bakery’s, ice cream is also safe I have never been sick. Avoid the famous dishes Mantu and Ashaq, you can eat those in afghan restaurants in UK. Those are my not getting sick Tipps for South Asia

Trust me, I have been in both places and the Kebab place is much better than fancy looking Bukhara restaurant. My entire family got sick when we tried Bukhra's food and have never been sick while trying the Kebab shop in Shar-e-Naw. Do not be tricked by the look of the restaurant.

the street food isnt that bad usually... just make sure everything is properly fried/cooked and you should be fine..

Kin ell mate! Chances are that it was the ice cream. I've always had trouble with dairy when I'm traveling, I eventually gave up milk in my tea, I only have black tea when I'm back in Blighty now as well. Hope you're now fit and well again.

Hey Ben! I have just recently started watching your videos and they are really fun. Just a heads up, many Afghans don't understand what you are saying when you say 'Allah hafiz', because that is Urdu. They instead say 'khuda hafiz' (dari language) or ' khuday paman' (pashto language).

It is not a saying people that speak pashto or dari use. I am not sure if you are not aware that most of them don't reply or have any reaction when he says 'Allah hafiz'. I mean I am Afghan (dari speaker) and if someone said that to my family members, they wouldn't know what that means.

Bukhara is a good clean resturant but The shinwari kebab and karahi from Afghanistan is very delicious and strong and its world famous its cooked by tribesmen in those resturants in kabul and everything they use is organic and fresh so you should try it next time.

Oh sorry you were ill at the end of the video. Most likely ice cream, or if you had any uncooked food like a salad that would have been washed in not sterile water. If I travel to Dhaka Bangladesh , the bottled water I drink I put water purifying tablets in and I don't eat ice cream, milk or eggs and salads. Fruit that I can peel like bananas and oranges are ok
