the train is an outdated german Interregio. this paintjob was last used in 1986, its the last paintjob in the old bundesbahn color scheme. seeing these old trains makes me nostalgic. of course they still dont have TÜV anymore, but its nice theyre actually still in use and serving people just fine. they still do the job. one of the last models you were able to actually pull down the window entirely. in some waggons you were allowed to smoke. for me this train is like a timecapsule greetings from germany

I was in Bulgaria in May of 2017 and took the train from Sofia to Vidin . I had been warned that in Bulgaria and Macedonia that many people have a phobia against a breeze from an open window. But it was already summer weather and the train had no a/c. Since the windows opened , I opened the one nearest me a crack.. A man sitting on the other side of the center aisle train quickly came over and slammed my window shut. I opened it slightly again and told him to change his ( unassigned) seat. He did. Other than that small thing, I loved Bulgaria.

And a little true facts about the history and the Cyrillic. Actually the oldest country in Europe is Greece , not Bulgaria and the Cyrillic alphabet is also made in Greece-Thessaloniki, for us the Bulgarians and the Slavs (Russians), which accepted the orthodox christianity and haven’t had their own alphabet. But Bulgaria is maybe the second oldest country yeah! I am not fan of chauvinism, so better tell the truth!...
@v.98023 жыл бұрын
@@milenixx8384 For four months nobody told you that you should be a fan of reading before even being a fan/not a fan of chauvinism. What you've wrote is neither "true facts", nor "tell the truth" post. Cyrillic alphabet isn't created in Thessaloniki, Saint Cyril and his brother Saint Methodius were born there. But they didn't even create Cyrillic alphabet, what they created probably along with few of their diciples is called Glagolitic alphabet. Where exactly they or Saint Cyril started it is not a known for sure fact, maybe they did it on their mission to Great Moravia, but if we accept the words of their diciple Clement of Ohrid, much earlier when they've been to byzantine monastery in Anatolia (Asia Minor), south of Sea of Marmara. After their mission in Great Moravia, they've spent time with few of their diciples in Rome, seeking permission from the pope, which they've acquired, to use the Slavonic Liturgy in all of Great Moravia and Pannonia. They've had altercations with an Archbishop, bishops, ect which viewed those lands as their own and wanted only Latin Liturgy, so such permission will grant them the needed freedom in those lands. Saint Cyril was made an Archbishop, Saint Methodius was ordained a priest in Rome along with few of their diciples. The next year Saint Cyril died in Rome and his brother along with their students continue their work in Pannonia and Great Moravia but their altercations with German clergy there intensify as well. They were held prisoners at times and after the death of Saint Methodius, the students were expeled from Great Moravia and returned to Bulgaria where they've established theological schools commissioned by the ruler Knyaz Boris I. From this moment in bulgarian lands by bulgarian people with commission of bulgarian ruler, the Cyrilic Alphabet was developed and later made official, to remove some of the difficulties in the Glagolitic one. Yes, we better tell the truth, at least something as close as possible by written sources to it, but first and foremost we should have some knowledge about it!
