Thst fruit is nice we have it in Australia the plant it in front of most hotels in the Gold Coast it is good For headache, arthritis, and stomach spasms a decoction of leaves is used. A poultice of fresh leaves mixed with oil is also used for headaches, and pulverized dried leaves was used to facilitate wound healing. A decoction of roots is believed to have aphrodisiac and cardiotonic properties. Nice video fam🇦🇺🇯🇲

Ahh, I was incorrect due to the up close thumbnail. I originally thought it was a fruit from the Duguetia family. But I know of the screw pine as well.A lot of wealthy people in the states usually keep them as ornamentals, hence the reason why the Natty found them on the hotel grounds. These trees lined the other side of the fence next to where I used to live in palm beach gardens Florida. I’m not sure if it was discussed but it can be propagated by air layering or offshoot separation. It is also Dioecious requiring male and female plants for pollination. Nice video once again @myislandjamaica Bless

The screw pine beneficial “The genus is characterized by numerous long, narrow, parallel-veined, palmlike leaves with spiny margins and midribs that are produced in tufts at the branch tips in three or four close twisted ranks around the stem, forming the screwlike helices of leaves that give the common name screw pine to these plants.

I don’t think it’s a weird fruit. It’s an exotic fruit. Someone left a fruit or seed, and it grew. Good time to plant a lot of the same seeds, so within a few years there would be more fruit bearing trees. Thats a good thing. Super foods. I’m sure there’s an abundance of that fruit in other countries❤
