It was interesting seeing you demo the brick patio that was built on top of concrete. Our back patio is the other way around: a thin layer of concrete on top of brick. We'll need to replace it soon...

Also, a cost estimate or cost break down of what something like this would cost. Approximately, I know you wouldn't want to put exact numbers out, but just like and approximation. Soooo much better than that brick. It's interesting that you don't have metal brackets for the pressure treated posts. Must be a building code difference in the region? I've seen people bury the PT posts in concrete, and that seems wrong to me. I'm a DIY'er and still learning.

Honestly, I did not like the brick. I guess I've been watching TSH for too long. At least they were laid on top of concrete. They are gonna love the TSH concrete way more! It will stay cleaner and provide much better eye candy. I do hope in a few years they have TSH come and reseal it. Doing that every few years will keep it looking bran new. Once again I was reminded how vital it is to get the rollers going at the precise time. I hope we get to see it after the cuts and coloring and sealing. Mention to the owners that a Brio fire pit like Mike Morgan uses would work nice on their new patio. They'll be wanting to spend more time out on that beautiful new patio, who doesn't like sitting around a nice fire w company, cooking hamburgers, hot dogs, and steaks? It is nice that you have summer help now. That allows you to move the camera around so we get to see more. I really enjoyed watching the forever hand print take place, added a little heart warming cuteness to the pour. I'm still trying to come down from watching TSH perform mountain climbing pours! That was intense! This channel just keeps getting better. Thanks guys, another great video in the books. Don't forget, we need to see the finish of today's pour. Thanks.👍🙏❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸

Drilling holes in brick for rods has no strength there is nothing that prevents the rods from sliding out of the holes . You need to have concrete around the rods for them to do any good ! I would break out half a brick to make sure there was concrete around the rod !

What's the purpose of having the rods..?

@fletch001 the rods in the holes in the block is to help control settling. You bend the end going into the block and fill the core with concrete to help prevent separation from the wall.
