I think it’s cool to hear rock stars’ aged, ravaged voices. Life is brutal, and nobody gets out unscathed. It’s a beautiful thing to hear a human who lived a full life sing into old age, even if it’s been damaged. I feel the same way about people’s appearances too. I don’t hold on to the past like a lot of people do though. Time flows “within you, and without you” (George Harrison). It’s insane to expect that somebody should be able do the same things they did in their 20s and 30s in their late 60s and 70s. All you people commenting underneath here negative stuff like “hang it up”, etc: maybe you should hang it up. What have you done to add to the world of music during your lives?
@McSorleyFan33 Жыл бұрын
Paul can’t sing anymore. There’s a difference between an aged voice and a guy who needs to hang it up. I think so many give Paul a hard time because of how he always points his finger at guys like Peter and ace for not being able to hack it anymore yet he can’t sing anymore and is still going on stage

I agree. I also enjoy watching old boxers get the shit kicked out of them. Such experience and wisdom falling face first into the canvass is poetry in motion.

This brought tears to me...I have loved KISS and Paul my whole life..and his solo album is something I have listened to thousands of times. Yes..he cannot hit the notes he used to, but it is Paul! And how beautiful to have his son playing such a great song with him.

This is how the song is, it is not made for a close-up acoustic, but having heard it before, it's not a voice shot, it's the song
@mungofinalfi44806 ай бұрын
What? The notes Paul is trying to sing are the same he would try to sing if it was an electric version. His voice is shot and therefor he can't reach those notes, acoustic version or not.

This is totally heartbreaking to hear. Poor Paul has shot his voice to hell... it could be vocal strain or simply that his upper register has gone, either way I hope he takes a break and stops performing in this condition. I regard Mr Stanley as the only real talent in KISS aside from Ace. But Ace doesn't have to sing, not that he could anyway :-) Please stop Paul and keep your dignity intact x
@LanceATL6 жыл бұрын
It's a rare song, written in a high range, and recorded 30 years ago. It was brought out for a private acoustic performance and you're judging his entire career by it. Ridiculous.

This "performance" would be rated even F when sung by some random guy with a hangover in the shower. At least the KISS "Army" is as loyal as scientology and politely claps at the end to boost the singers confidence, but, I mean, come on ... in the real world, who would applaud this. I recommend rather to make a "KISS Kruise Talk-Show" next year... either that or the booze should be included in the prize, cause there is something seriously wrong about this "musical art"....

You know it's so odd to see all these "fans" come on here to bash Paul Stanley because he's 65 years old and refuses to obey your command to stop doing something he obviously loves because you don't like it. It's a two way street. Instead if telling him to stop, how about "stop" listening?
