That is absolutely perfect . I was first responder with the American Red Cross I’ve had beginning, intermediate, and advanced first aid in addition to life support and advanced extraction from a disaster… This absolutely correct and will save a life from someone bleeding out exsanguination … This will save a life . Thank you for the refresher.

The Israeli is leagues beyond the old muslin. I found tho I can carry 4 muslin in the same area ( amount of space ) So now,all 5 are in my bag,and it takes even more space.

Fun fact: For QuickClot and many similar hemostatic agents, the clotting agent is derived from shellfish. Check to see if your patient has a shellfish allergy prior to packing the wound.

I thought that too, but recently someone told me it doesn't trigger allergic reactions. I have no idea where to go to find out for sure. And I'm allergic to shrimp, so I really want to know.

The allergen in QuickClot is removed. I wouldn't waste your time though. The powder is difficult to get into deep wounds pumping out blood, make hospital's job harder to clean, and frequently blow into your eyes with wind/rotar wash. Combat guaze or even regular Z-fold guaze is a MUCH better option in my experience.

Where did you find such a good arm, I’ve dug up half the cemetery but none of them looked that fine? 😂 Good tutorial, the kind you hope not to need but are necessary, thank you!

You definitely saved that arm. Sadly, it's just an arm... 😜

How do you check capillary refill if the nails have nail polish as in working with females?
@cultural_lettuce1 Жыл бұрын
You can still do it by pinching the tip of the finger pad instead of pressing the nail. hope this helps.
