I’m glad to see your commentary on this masterpiece Emme, great job.👍 I don’t see many KZbinrs react to this and that’s a shame that they’re missing out on Star Wars at its best. Many people gave up after watching the two episodes. I almost did to be honest. After watching the second episode I didn’t know if I wanted to watch the third one. After two days I finally saw it and I decided to continue watching the show weekly and boy it was the best decision I ever made. I’m glad I had the experience of watching new episodes when they came out and waiting another week for the next one especially during the prison arc. I felt like I was being a part of something. I glad that you could experience the journey I went through Emme along with everyone else who was loyal to this show. I wish you the best and continue to make great videos Emme.❤️

The funeral scene was just so well done. I love how all the time Andors main theme was the Ferrix custom music, showing that Ferrix is always in Cassians heart, or how Brasso used Maarvas brick to fight the empire. Its what Maarva wouldve wanted - for her own ashes to pack a punch to the Empire. I wonder what happened with her brick. Did Brasso take it with him on the ship? And as Maarva said "Fight the Empire!", the original line was supposed to be "F*#@ the Empire!", but they scrapped it because it would take unnecessary attention in this impactful scene

@@NovelPhoinixTheSecond Yeah, I mean, Mando is enjoyable (most of the time), but that's it. Enjoyable and cool. This is inspiring, it's illuminating. It really shows you how the empire works on the small level, what drives people to rebellion and what that fight takes from people. Again and again it comes close to uncomfortable aspects of our real life, while making sense in the SW universe. It goes so much deeper than most other Star Wars media, while just being a great show in all aspects, from casting to writing to effects. My favourite SW media will still be KoTOR II, but that is very different. Not everything can be like Andor, and probably not everything should. Star Wars can tell many stories, but this show... they knew exactly what Star Wars story they wanted to tell and executed that perfectly. Lets hope the second season will be just as good.

People always mention that Cassian shouldn't have returned at all, and that since he did, he should've covered himself up walking through the streets. Everyone seems to forget two things... 1) This is Cassian's home turf...he knows all the streets and alleys better than even the most thorough ISB agent. 2) He's far more well-versed in understanding the Imperial thought process, than they are at understanding his. In that regard, literally the ONLY threat is Dedra, and even she isn't as good at it as Cassian is. That, along with his considerable skills of observation, pretty much mean he'll always be several steps ahead. And that's exactly what we see. Three different factions came to Ferrix to get him...and NOT ONE of them got anywhere near him. Luthen only "found" him, because he found Luthen first and went to him explicitly to petition to officially join the Rebellion. And he KNEW Luthen would choose that over killing him. He knew that, after having pulled off what he's pulled off (and Luthen doesn't even know about what happened on Narkina 5), and the fact that he's willing to risk his life to commit to the Rebellion, Luthen would absolutely welcome him into the fold. There was practically zero risk in the move, even though he made it look like he was giving Luthen the choice. And Luthen knew it too...which is why he smiled. Not because he'd just gained a powerful ally, but because he'd just been beaten at his own game.

Regarding the end, rather than Cassian fearing for his life and realising that The Empire or Luthen will catch him most likely sooner than later, I think he has come to feel that there is no greater calling in life, no more important purpose, than to rebel against The Empire. I think that's why Cassian turned himself over to Luthen, not out of self preservation, but because he believes his life would be meaningless unless he helps to bring down The Empire.

@artboymoy2 жыл бұрын
It's been 20 years. The sister was long dead. There is no reason why she would be alive. It's the biggest and most glaring flaw the writers made. I had a theory early on that Maarva and Clem returned and picked up the kids. Over the years she formed a smuggling syndicate kinda like in Solo and settled on Ferrix. Cassian, Bix, Brasso, Salman all have that "human with dark features" look so I thought that they could all be kids that were from the Kenari tribe. Cassian's sister could have been there the whole time until recently and had run off to live a different life and that's why it's plausible for him to be looking for her. But Maarva shot this theory down and Bix said her dad would catch Cassian climbing over the wall and we know there were no adults in the Kenari tribe, but she could mean her adoptive father. Plus we don't know where Cassian got this information that his sister was in the brothel. If he really believed his sister to be alive, it's really an amazing coincidence that she's on a planet near him in the entire galaxy and somehow he found out? Plus he could have gone back sooner to Kenari to see for himself, in the following years. It's just something that makes no logical sense and they should not even attempt to bring it back in season two, IMO. I think it would just be too hamfisted and like , "A certain point of view"
@owensnyder12922 жыл бұрын
@@artboymoy Interesting theories about Marva and the people of Kenari. I doubt we will learn more about it all with Marva gone. It seems unlikely the writers will want to do anything more than brief flash of memory like flashbacks as they didnt in season 1. The sisters whereabouts are not as big of a flaw in my opinion. The writer either have it well planned out or will just leave it where it stands with her being out of the picture or dead. It seems impossible that cassian or marva could have found a single child on an entire planet unless they returned immediately to the camp they lived at. I would prefer that he never finds her, its more realistic and gives the world a more harsh and unforgiving feel. If she is a part of season 2 im sure it won't just be some outlandish coincidence or stroke of luck that he locates her. It does give me pause that they had him tracking down a lead on her though. They could have written him accidentally killing the corpo security guards under many diffetent circumstances. It was likely just to make Cassian seem more honorable that he was in search of family to offset murdering 2 guards in an ally, but who knows.. besides Tony Gilroy and everyone involved in the writing of course.

@@artboymoy He had information about a girl from Kenari. Not possible to tell if this girls was actually his sister. Remember there was a mining incident at Kenari. "Fight them, but please, nobody get hurt." I understand your sentiment, but when fighting oppressive authoritarianism, people are going to get "hurt". People are going to die. People you care about are going to die. The little bubbles we create for ourselves can only protect us for so long, and that is the point of Maarva's speech.

What would i do to watch this show for the first time again. This wednesday sucked without a new Andor episode so this reaction made the day better. Also you asked why did Syril and Linus Mosk (or whatever his name is) switched hats. Well this show likes to go in detail and these guys are professionals so like in some other spy thrillers, when they duo is going undercover they give each other their own hats because its easier to recognize your own hat in the crowd. Season 2 is supposed to be set 1 year later but its gonna be about 2 years later for us i cant wait! But quality over quantity i guess. What a crazy ride this was!

Awesome to see you enjoying this amazing show, though a bit disappointing that even these 11 episodes of political education were not enough for you to drop 'but please let nobody be harmed'. It's interesting. It could've been a natural response, if that's just it, fair, but if it was not, I'd be interested in your thoughts, about why do you ultimately find the case presented by andor accepting and justifying using political violence against people and property. I know about the subtext, about the fascinating representation of the influence of fhirdworldist and maoist theories of people's war andor is in disloggue with - ID love to know a leftie discord where we could arrange a watch party where we could go deeper on what the series is actually communicating

Luthen came to Ferrix to kill Cassian because he knew too much. If the Imperials caught Cassian, they could interrogate him just as they did with Bix, and lead them to Luthen. And Luthen is connected to all of these different rebel and terrorist groups. Next it would've been Mon Mothma and Saw, and THE Rebellion would never exist.

The revolution has begun! Form the beginning of the show, since episode 1 I knew this was star wars as it was supposed to be. Rogue one showed the way,.

Maarva might not have made it into a wall, but my word at least she made it into someones face.
