not just skilled and powerful, his stamina impresses me too and nobody talks about it. he got a lot of late stoppages and he is always the fresher of the two in the ring in the late rounds, we seen him stalking and walking these guys down in the 7-10th rounds and the opponent look like he ready to go home and call it a day and beterbiev is still walking him down coming forward.

It's a shame Beterbiev wasn't younger so we could see how he goes for longer. He's unbelievably talented and add in his power he could of ruled the division for years!

I mean comparatively. He's still a hall of famer and a monster, he's been world champion since 2017 so 6 years still a long time i get your point, and he's got relatively few miles on his pro clock so maybe a couple more. Because of his amateur success he didn't have his first World title fight until 32..which is relatively late thats all i meant. He is. Great at minimising energy wastage and obv hits like a train..some fighter.

@@DavesboxingchatHe doesn´t rely on speed and athleticism though and power doesnt go away in ur early 40s. Also he hasnt had many pro fights and hasnt taken much damage at least in pro fights. Could be one of those few fighters that Continue fighting at a High level at a very late age.

Brilliant! 'He doesn't know who they are'. I love it. An interesting a very inspiring mindset. Artur and Joe will put on a show! Fo Sho! So looking forward to it. And not an ounce of trash talk, a breath of fresh air. Mr. Scully sounds like an authentic human being on camera. Bravo.

I can understand why Artur would be apprehensive and avoid landing hard punches on his sparring partners and telling Mr. Scully "but if I hit them hard they won't come back". Because etched in his memory are the days when he was young and he trained to be wrestler same as everybody else in his hometown. But he kept knocking out every training partners he trained with to the extent that no one wanted to train with him and he was being rejected from every gym. I believe that's when his uncle, elders or brothers... were advised they should take him to boxing instead
@jamescook4402
@jamescook4402 2 жыл бұрын
You can't knock people out in wrestling, the Russian mats are like beds, unless you spike the head which is highly unlikely he was doing that. The story is he didn't like wrestling and wouldn't show up.

Wrestling or boxing gyms, I don’t exactly remember, but I read an article a long time ago, which said that when he was young, he always knocked people out and he kept being expelled from training gyms. And that he’d try to go back hoping they’d let him train but they’d always reject him.

As for the Beterbiev Yarde fight, my boxing computer program predicts 75% chance of Beterbiev stopping Yarde inside 6 rounds, 15% chance of Yarde stopping Beterbiev but has to be before 4 rounds, and 10% chance of the fight going the distance with 90% chance of Beterbiev winning. Check it out.

Beterbiev was actually robbed against Usyk. Record should be 2-1 to Beterbiev and those were only 3 round fights. Beterbiev is normally a slow starter and needs about 10 rounds to knockout a guy like Usyk. If the fights were professional 12 round bouts, Beterbiev would beat Usky 3-0.

False if you look at the first fight usyk was robbed. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnqloGRueKqtn5Y . In the second fight usyk scored far more points then beterbiev. Knock down in amateur gives u 2 extra points. If it was pro he’d still of lost because it be 10-9 10-9 9-9. Usyk was winning every round.

@@pitbull8625 LOL Usyk put his knee down on the 3rd round. That's a knockdown. beterbiev won the second and 4th round. Now imagine with 10 oz gloves instead pillows and without headgear. 12 rounds instead 3-4 rounds. your Usyk will be done if the fight occurs. Look also Matt Casavant-Russ Anber podcast episode 61 interviewing Beterbiev. Hearn made an offer to Artur in 2017 Beterbiev made a counter offer for a fight against Usyk.... Explain me why Hearn never return the call....
