Looks like it came out really good I'm impressed even with the mistakes.

Great video! Love the wheels. Not sure if you’ve try it but I recommend getting the easy spray attachment for the top of the spray cans. It’s reduces finger fatigue soooo much and helps spray on smooth. I’m on my 4th dipped car (which is now my r8 Spyder) and like my 5th color for wheels. I love dip over vinyl wrap for cars and i love dipped wheels. All about following instructions. Most people talk crap about dip, but they never put on enough coats and then complain its not durable and it doesn’t come off easily when comes time to peel. All a bunch of nonsense. Keep doing your thing bro! 😎🤙🏽

Hey thanks bud! Yeah ive used the easy spray attachment before but always felt to me like i was alittle less in control of the can. That being said yeah i forgot how much those cans hurt your fingers especially near the end. 🤣 Yeah the dip products are great for sure and alot of the gripes come from improper applications like you mentioned. This new hyperdip lays down differently and I didnt notice until i was well in it. I know in doing it over again itll come out even better than now. 😎 thanks again for the compliment! Keep on keepin on bud!

Looks good from most of the shots!! Good lessons learned about the angle of the wheels. And completely reversible. Good job!

Looks beautiful! I have the Rohana RFX11 Brushed Bronze and everyone loves them. Well, except dealers who want the factory rims left on for fear the Corvette diehards won't buy it with custom wheels. Great job!

Greetings Carlos, Awesome C8, and I love the DIY videos. I am in the Dallas area and would love to link up and seek your guidance/help on some things for my C8. I’ve done some things to it, but looking to do more. I ordered the vehicle jack lift kit also. Thanks for all you do, Blessings!

Just did the same with 2 different set of wheels, all in bronze. Both were black with zero pizazz. One for a 2019 ZR2 and one for a 69 Camaro.

Ahh this brought back memories of my plastidip days.. Hell I used it for my shower bar and other things around the house. Good Job, but get some light weight wheels. I did the same as HPO and DBM racing and went with the forgelites.. they have been great to work with.
@NuHorizonC814 күн бұрын
Thanks bud! Yeah the plan will be to get lightweight wheels eventually but ive been playing around with what kind of finish and color id want. So the change color definitely helps with the final decision down the line 😊

Glad you are sharing this. Plastidip is a good product. I ask the Jeep and big off road truck gang why don’t they use it to minimize brush scratches. Easy cheesy.
@NuHorizonC814 күн бұрын
Ive seen some of my Jeep and big off road use em here and there. The Dipyourcar.com website actually features a version called diparmor which is like a super heavy duty tactile version built for offroading and such. Its becoming a big thing in the offroad community. Plastidip for sure has come a LONG way from years ago thats for sure! Its such an easy MOD that at minimum, gives a person ideas for color changes without going permanent.
@thereissomecoolstuff14 күн бұрын
@ I hadn’t heard of diparmor. That’s a great idea. Peelable truck bed liner could never be bad. I wish they made a windshield product. Buy new ones every year.

I have been a PS fan for over a decade. I did my wheels on a round raised table about waist high and walked around the wheels using the same angle all the time so the pattern stayed the same. It’s like spraying certain flakes in paint..you must always maintain the same pattern or it will look different. Just my experience. Always get more than offered in a kit.

My Question. If you spray this Dip Paint and its cured. Will it be durable if you swap out tires? Will the machine to break the tire bead damage the finish on the outer rim? Will the Rim need to be touched up. Not sure how durable Dip paint is
@NuHorizonC812 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for the question Eddy. So the dip is durable enough to handle it IF AND ONLY IF the application of the dip has been done properly. Ive had dip on previous wheels and had tires swapped with no issues. The key with the application along the edge is to make sure it is fully saturated with a good wet coat over multiple coats.

When I’m washing the rooms I use I mean I usually use a detail brush but I gotta get some new ones I had a paintbrush that I never used before and it’s not a big one it’s like a one and a half inch and I use that to clean my rims the other day when I wash my truck I like the brushes ran because it like gets all on there like real good gets up in the areas where Like especially when you’re doing them by hand

What happens when your wheels get dirty from the brake dust? Can. you use a wheel cleaner or do you have to just wash it with soap?
@NuHorizonC814 күн бұрын
So dipyourcar makes a brake dust cleaner specifically for dipped car wheels thats safe on the finish. I showed the bottle in the review alongside with the wheel kit.

When i wash my truck and my driveway is like 150 yards away from the road and my driveway in the area where my parking is I get it re-done every couple years I get the crush and run rocks it’s like the same thing as a black top what they use on the highway but it’s like one day fix the roads and they use the jackhammers And whenever a stretch of the road they’re replacing the jackhammer all that stuff and then they put it into dump trucks but a friend of mine drives a dump truck so instead of me paying three $400 a load I get it for like $100 and I buy like five dump truck loads at a time and I gotta use the Kabota re-straighten the driveway out and put the new rocks down again and then I use my new TV and a TV I’m trying to think of the name of the thing I put on the back and it’s heavy and it mats the driveway down makes it like a road but depending on the weather and how much rain and snow and everything we get over the years sometimes I might have to redo it in two years I’ve waited five or six years to do it or I bought like a dump truck loads and fixed certain areas but yeah like when I wash my truck I use the landscape blower I have a battery operated one but The battery dies I mean I have extra ones but I just crank up the gas powered one and I start with getting the water off of the paint and the windows and do not do the rims because water stains or paints and then you’l be using water spot remover they have all this different stuff like I start detailing when I was young all the stuff they have now they didn’t have all that stuff when I was younger but I learn how to detail cars well boats at moms when I was a kid so I’m real good at all that I’m not gonna lie you do your vehicle right sometimes I might finish up the next day I did that the other day because it was so cold But I’m glad I came across your video I didn’t know they had the all the different colors and if you look up there’s this guy who lives in Canada and he used Hydro dip And I was watching the video and the guy was showing that he did the wheels like two years prior and it still look good like if I bought a really expensive pair of rims I’m going to Hydro dip them in the same color just to protect them just like you wrap your car to protect it 👍👍👍👍👍 yeah your car is a beast
