The Enchantresses will pretty much kill you if you try this at level 60, and you can also not pull around them my solution was to utilize dreamvision mark 'em know the pattern timewise to not have them pulled as well they will simply kill you and if you go for the nature pot, still won't be able to soak enough damage with it. Also I'd advice people to go for it from 61, or do 60 it will be a pain due to the pull radius of oranging mobs, but it will make you play it safe so when doing 60+ should be way easier conceptwise. I also suggest for none booster to use frozen rune to soak the fire dmg("rain of fire"-like ability"), also doing the side packs with the collaborators you most likely will get fucked(at 60) since well you'll very unlikely resist it and 13sec mass slow and sure one can be CS'd and one can try to side step 2nd for 1 pack but with these techies dropping RoF-like ability for 600 a hit and if you also have enchantress in here hitting you for 0.7-1.2k nr damage well your most likely to have your ass whooped simply because no potion stacking by time you actually want the potions up they'll be gone even with logout trick. But I'd argue getting down the idea of this and it's like 12-15% per run problem is you have to play around multiple factors, same thing with the mage type mobs in start ain't gonna be resisting that so you will get cocked if you allow more then 1 cast and then you still might have to drop all cds, so simply try to pre sheep if you get 4 pack of these reset, ain't worth it. Also you will need speed advantage so the zanza spirit is BIS here for the 20% move speed else you will again get cockd simply they will clap you. Well here's my like way bogstroks(crab-f.....rs) in start, if you time it with the patrol moving away +guard patrol in good spot then atleast >60(61+(to be safe sa 62+) I'd argue ain't worth it getting back to these in a while. Then move forward grab bokstroks and if feeling brave or done a few grab 2nd bokstroks match this with the patrol on edge specially if any mage mob or cockd most likely nova static guards and then blizz and match up with last pack which is patrol in boss room. Now have a fun time =) (dont eat to much RoF dmg it ticks quite hard and don't get to intimate with these guys + guards moves faster then ypu with swift zanza(20%+ mvspd), also either @lvl 60 / @lvl 60 + enlarge(giant growth) boss will pull on ramp onto you so dodge him too. Ooh well, we now argue you manage this, then rest up and go ledge mark up patrol (enchantress x2 + meele boi), then when at bogstrok pack towards boss room, pull the bogrstrok we earlier left out and blizz kite 'em (bz1, or whatever rank u prefer tip is to not be do daring they will not pulll other mobs but AN INCORRECT BLIZZ will ;), and then grab 2nd bogstrok pack outside of boss room which can be skipd from grab on pull1 as with grabbing it up you now drop ur blizz to 50-75% of normal dmg which most likely might cock you, so leave these 2 packs grab later and go chad hammer just hammer 'em down shouldn't need more then 1 corridor movement for i and then reset redo =). Sorry it got quite long atleast thought I'd share what I found, sry cba to make a vid but areleus feel free to make a 60 vid using this if you found this to be a good way =), simply thought I'd share what I've learned, ooh well btw keep 'em vids coming bro they're super nice tbh ;) and yes this was not to critize I mean if you're giga chad you might be able to do the thing you do at 70 at 60 but most likely the masses will have their souls crushed ;p.

if its 500k xp/h solo then why are u boosting ur other mage? if it's viable at lv 58 why are you showing us on lv 70 with 5piece t2? why did you have to use footage from 2 different clips to show us the xp drop on the first pull? why don't you ever talk about pat timings that can't be seen at the beginning of the run and how to time their patrols directly after resetting instance? - (which just never seems to be an issue for you) Undoubtedly the best guide out there as the case for most of your videos but seems almost unfair to your fans who actually spend tens of hours on our mages doing this to turn around and tell people it's piss easy

spirit of zanzas like 18 mp/5 with arcane armor and meditation talent.. also if u throw rough dynamite and u have the blade of eternal darkness on it gives alot of mana back 1 min cd like 10-30 copper per dynamite for like 400-600 mana its worth it wont get value better than that from any weapon

Hey mate, great video as usual. I believe there are now 2 ledges that can be used. The first is the original. (apparently, you can blink onto it? Stand still against it then blink and insta "w" lands you on the ledge. (I've seen this, but not tried it). The 2nd ledge is in the tunnel as you enter, to the right. You can jump up. So the strat is kite them to the end towards the boss and then back down the tunnel. Then stick to your left (the right corner as you entered is now on left) and right in the corner you can jump up. This then sends them back down the original kill phase route. (should give plenty time to regen mana etc, as they have a long trek). Then as they come down the ledge, you do usual kill phase.. Blizzard flamesrike, rinse and repeat. Now you can drop down, blizz them and jump back up. Rise and repeat. Hope this makes sense

First pull: very doable from 62 with some practice, even with shitty gear (no T2 for instace). Second pull: doable from 62 with great gear and a lot of practice. Third pull: ... an absolute clusterfuck. If you're just trying to level, do yourself a favour and stick to the first pull and then reset. Come back once you're 70 for the rest. Don't forget that what you're seeing here is a level 70 doing all these pulls. That's not by accident. Best of luck!

If you only plan on doing the first pull (as you suggest, I'm sold) - would you recommend grabbing the two technicians and/or the mobs in the same/final room at the end of where mobs are being pulled from?

@@SteveS86 I always managed to stay just in-between the patrolling technicians and the pack on the left where the chest usually spawns without pulling either of them. I recall it was doable even at the early levels. If you have to edge closer towards one of the two packs when unsure of your pull range, definitely get closer to the ones that are patrolling, because the other pack slows you and that is just the end of it unless you really know what you're doing. Bearing in mind, I always did these pulls with the Swiftness of Zanza pot, which makes this a LOT easier as you can put way more distance between you and the mobs much more effectively. If you were a mage playing in classic classic, I'd be surprised if you didn't farm the shit out of ZG and already have the rep and bijous at your disposal for getting them. If not, this'll be a tad bit harder, but still doable enough to be worth it with some practice. I still did the pulls at lower levels from time to time without any speed buffs when I made mistakes and died but couldn't be bothered to hearth back to STV and get the pots again. I never tried this until TBC actually hit, but by the time I was level 64 all the way up to 70, I averaged a ding every 4-6 hours /played on each level. Best of luck mate!

I swear you're a legend. I was really close to getting this down before the vid, swapped all gear to eagle greens (unfortunately didn't do alot of real classic, only did frost aoe leveling on launch so no T2 etc), got enchants for spirit/int, minor run speed etc and used the oil and consumes you recommended, and whammo. It feels great finally getting these pulls down, and I will be the first person on my server selling boosts for SP =] Thanks so much!

It looks cool on L70 char when half the mobs ignore you, but it's way different on L63 - I'm getting to first tubes tops and the L61 run at 4x speed is just way too fast to get anything from it (wish the whole video would be done at 62-63, as it gets only easier with more levels :)

I find using a swiftness potion can come in handy, gives you moree room at the beginning of the pull in the hallway. It lasts really long, like 15 sec and its 50% movement speed. Just use it early so you can still use health or mana pot when u need to ^^

I don't do @Arlaeus strat for pulling Slave pens, but I can say it is profitable. the thing you really can make the most money on is selling the runs. I think typically I got 10-15g per run on mine(not selling runs, can sell runs for like 50g+ atm). My runs usually are only 12-13mins tops though.

You definitely can! The first 2 pulls are the bulk of the xp, but I finish them in 8-10 minutes and then would be locked out so I extend my runs past that.

only way i know of avoiding it is to start as soon as you enter the instance. if i accidentally pull slavehandlers and have to back out and restart, or anything like that, i almost always run into them and have to go back out again and from there it just gets fugly. i'm here looking for an answer too

Great video, thanks very much. It's taken me a couple of hours to get it down but overall, I'd say this is easier than running mara. Personally, I think it's much easier to skip the technicians on the first pull, particularly if you don't have amazing gear/mp5. When the technicians cast, they split from the pack and can make the turn more difficult. The kill phase is much quicker for pull one if you're not trying to dodge the rain of fire. For pull two, I don't think it makes much of a difference if there's the extra two technicians or not.

hey! on the first pull, I'm occasionally running into an issue where the double enchantress pack is patrolling far to the left at the exact time I need to pass by to get to the crabs, and at level 64 even hugging the wall I still pull them. if i grab this pack it's inevitably a wipe due to the root. any advice? the patrol being so random is killing my motivation to grind this, as i just am forced to die every 5 runs or so.

Make sure to start the run right away when you run in. If they’re there blizzard the mobs behind you to try to kite and slow them down

What Arlaeus said, plus another thing: if they're still too much in your way even when you've tried slowing them down behind you, there's nothing in the way for you to just blink down again behind the mobs you've already pulled, keep them slowed until your blink is back, blink back again, and then or whenver you see there's an open window, go for pulling those upper-right Bogs. I did this from 62 and it's perfectly doable, but am I doing it with Thorium Grenades. If you don't have engineering, you're better off just waiting with that pack until you're 64 so you don't pull the Enchantresses on the right. The amount of time you lose if you die here is just not worth those extra ~10k xp. At 64 it should be perfectly safe to use R1 Blizzard when you see that Enchantress-patrol moving back up. I wonder how many takes you needed to do to make it look easy? In reality when I pull this many mobs 100% of the time at least one or two will resist nova, and almost always one will resist constantly. I will always have a cripple at some point that comes from out of range of my blizzard because leeway. Also one or two mobs will somehow break out of blizzard slows way before others, and when those casters start their 10 second rain of fire the pull just falls apart which happens like every time.

Dude has 9.6k mana... kinda difficult to use max rank bliz everytime theyre stacked at lvl 62 and kill the mobs without going OOM, even if youre popping pots on CD. You're going to need to use a lot more rank 1 bliz to help mana regen and learn to turn the mobs around reliably. I did the farm without any special gear going in, but I did buy a mp5 neck and rings. Was like 30g combined on my server. mp5 is always better than max mana on this pull.

I just hit 63 last night, but went to bed without doing another run. I spec up to ice barrier then get arcane presence of mind at 61. Those clearcast pom flamestrikes put in work if placed correctly... same with clearcast max rank blizzards

You can do this as well! You’ll run into a couple issues - 1) real estate - you won’t have as much room to move around. 2) the mana you’ll need to kill them will cause you to still take a while so the pull will be longer

Has anyone tested boosting with a level 60 mage vs with a level 70 mage in the lower tier dungeons (SM and Mara primarily)? I'm curious to see the disparity in xp gain due to the increased avg level. If it's a significant difference, it may be worth keeping my best geared mage at 60 exclusively for that.

Stay max range. Use blink AFTER a rain of fire drops if you're slowed. The mobs won't recast cripple if you have cripple already on you.I used escape artist once in this pull, but a lot of my pull don't have to use it or could have used block.

He isn't doing full damage with blizzard, if you watch the damage numbers, when he casts at the front of the pack he does full damage, and it drops slightly as the rest of the pack runs into it. It also helps that this isn't a crazy number of mobs so the damage drop isn't that dramatic. I think the first pull is high 20s - low 30s mob count, and its the biggest one in here.

Not really in my opinion. The gear a boost gives you is just very bad. No mp5, no hit, no spell power. Just do main stats and also low amount per item. Do ramparts aoe runs with other mages

@@sanzadoritsmyname2885 Spell power doesnt scale with Blizzard, you mainly need a ton of stam/int/spirit or mp5. "of the Eagle" gear is perfect for this *(I'm able to do it at 63/64 no problems, the 2nd pull is tricky though)

I find the 2nd part of the farm really inconsistent you should make a video more in depth about the mobs because it feels impossible to pull off solo. I just tried to have a priest to dispel every slow from the mobs and still died. Even with heals It's nearly impossible. I really find it hard to believe to aoe the 2nd part of SP. It seems like there is a lot of luck involved to get that pull down the melee only mobs is very consistent.

the trick is a free action potion while you gather, then using that weak aura for cripple, cancel blizzard and get distance every time u see cripple is used.. Then on the turnaround, you need to nova everything and block/cancel to remove cripples. Hard pre-68

It's harder but it can work. I did the first pull on my boosted mage a few hours ago, at level 62. Will try the 2nd pull later on. But difficutly ramps up and i'm new to this aoe-technique, i doubt i'll get further than that.

Minor speed enchantment on boots, you need to have this. Its really cheap, just ask any enchanter to do it for some gold. I have it and I can run on the same speed/a little faster than most of Slave Pens mobs, and consequently do the whole farm nicely.
