What a great look at Wekiwa Springs! I paddled from Wekiva Island to Wekiwa but never entered the spring there! Excellent footage Joe! Well edited too! I have seen plenty of gators there in the past for sure. Great episode!

Awesome video. I just went Yesterday. A diver had a driveline set up to get into the spring cave. Was my first time going into the cave. Magical

I just got to see the spring for myself yesterday! Man it was amazing. Only area of the water there that glistens with vertical light columns. If you watch the bed of the spring, you can see the shadows of the outward flow as it just pours out. 40M gallons a day estimate it is just incredible.

Found a bunch of money in there snorkeling last time I was there. Also had a ranger make me get out of the lagoon since you arent apparently supposed to swim there. The big grunt was a bull frog. There are some decent sized gators in there and up Rock Springs but nothing huge of note.

Just a note on the Turtle @ 1:58 It's a Florida Softshell. Not a type of snapping turtle. There are basically two types of Snapping Turtles in Florida. The Common/Florida Snapping Turtle and the Alligator Snapping Turtle.

I don't want to paddle there. Looks like the water is too deep. I can't swim.

I paddled the same route from Wekiva Island to Wekiva Springs all the way up against the current:-) you go underneath the little Bridge there and then you can swim in the spring is very nice a million and one Mexicans nowadays though and a bunch of their kids all over the place bumping into you throwing shit around it turned into Little Mexico over there
