you know what i miss from W3, that weekly tournaments that happend during the weekend that anyone can join no matter what, there was sometimes rules like you have to play Human or Orc and different modes like 3v3 1v1 2v2 etc.... They should implement something like that to WOW, just 9 rounds 2-3 hours tournament lenght, maybe some rules like team need to have 1 rouge per team or just modes like SS and stuff and we play for fun and meet new people via LFG who wants to participate .... And maybe implement tournament vendor for tournament tokens that you get from this ... it would keep people playing wow and more pvp pve stuff ...

Disappointed that Cup 1 is insanely early into the season as generally the first few weeks there's a heavy amount of tuning involved, figuring out the xpac & meta, etc. Excited to see the AWC again though! Hope they're able to cook up an awesome event or something for the upcoming 20th anniversary of the game!

@@zugdigitalx It's gonna be even more fotm with it like this because there's gonna be a clear outlier spec that EVERYONE will gravitate to in the first few weeks. People find new comps that works as counter comps or meta busters when things are allowed to sit for a few weeks without changes. In the past, Blizz opts to not change things drastically mid AWC/MDI season because then people will start complaining about it being it unfair, playing favorites, etc. If anything it'll result in specs being broken and fotm for the rest of us on the ladder for a month at the minimum with little changes.

Adding designs and systems that cater to ESports who are the extreme minority of the community instead of actually making it fun for the majority of players. Keep those decisions strictly in tournament environments dont bring it into the actual game.

Competition is fun. A lot of the most successful games are hugely successful in esports and have the biggest casual playerbases. WoW just needs advanced ingame tutorials to bridge the gap and get people who are competitive by nature the push they need because they dont know where to start.
