@Bellular - A small correction. I recently did all the quests in the game. In one of the very last Dragonblight quests (after the wrathgate) you go back to the bronze dragonshrine and then you interact with your past self. There is no open-endedness about that questline, but a lot of people will have missed it since the quest is so late in the zone that you would have moved on to Zul'drak, even when you leveled slowly back in WotLK. Furthermore, the quest was not required for the pre-BFA loremaster achievement for Dragonblight and may at some point have been a group quest.

It was never a group quest. But it was always cool as fuck. I remember doing it on my death knight in Wrath. (It was however difficult)

Good direction of the game --> Focus on core gameplay by removing temporary expansion exclusive feature and adding complex talent trees --> deepening and make professions more useful --> adding more fun non mandatory pve stuff to do like the stuff in this video, dragon riding (races ?) and more to come ? --> more end game pve stuff aside raids, like torgast etc.

I hope the final villain of DF will send us back to the War of the Ancients which have been altered and from which we cannot return unless we make sure everything happens as it did in the past. Or if I want to go real crazy we would be sent back to the War of the Ancients but this time the Well of Eternity doesn't get blown up and we play on the old Azeroth as a total map revamp.

The me of 10 years ago may have been excited about this. The me of today is too jaded with Blizzard to expect more than a big promise followed by lackluster implementation and then Blizzard calling off the whole "experiment" as a failure and cancelling future plans on it instead of building it up over the course of multiple patch cycles and expansions.

This sounds similar to something I discussed with a friend: With this expansion surrounding the Dragonflight, I thought a cool way to get vet and new players to populate old zones and give life to them would be to have infinite dragon "attacks" where they try altering the course of history (similar to how an invasion during Naxx Classic worked by marking the map etc.). Reward players old (gear or tokens) and new (GOOD EXP) for participating in these events AND learn about the lore of the game...like a timeline where Hogger has been pulling the strings of the Jailer the whole time!

To me, it seems as though, for dragonflight, blizz have taken a look at the actual name of the game; World of WarCraft. They are letting us actually explore their world, that they have spent years creating, as well as these wars which have shaped modern Azeroth. Then they are making crafting a much more important feature in the way of professions. just a personal entertaining thought

Cool video, it's great to see them expanding the lore like this. Hopefully going forward, it increases in detail to the point that just as much covered in the books is available to uncover (optional side quests or main quests) throughout the expansion quest lines. Overall, it's just a great excuse for them to fill in quiet times in between expansions MUCH more frequently so the game doesn't feel dead.

I know a lot of people freak out over the 'time' stuff, but honestly, I look at it as opportunity. Sure there's the 'main story', but in a timeline not 'normal' to us, we can explore so many other 'what if's'. Or as it seems here, just historical events, and be 'part' of those events in a way. Overall I've always loved the 'alternate times/realities' idea for things so I'm excited to see how this goes!

the quest in Northrend with our future self loops around on itself. Within that same quest we end up doing the same thing but with our past self, meaning that we, then and there, are our future self from the start alrdy. So while I like the idea, we can not redo that part as "future self" as that alrdy happend.

Caverns of time dungeons were always the most interesting (except Black Morass). I was thinking it would be cool to go back and witness more key events like when Duskwood became dark and corrupt after the Scythe of Elune basically shifted the tone of the whole area, brought the Dark Riders and caused the Worgen infestation.

I have suspected that if there's a Disk that can Restore the Aspects powers. It got lost in time due to the Infinite Dragon. So we went to a time jump and the Disk we seek is in the Time Era of the Black Empire. So we get it back Before Murozond takes it to Further Empower Him as a Aspect.

I might be the minority here here, but if Dragonflight is going to have Grand Advanture Through Time, I hope they would finally implement Garrosh's trial into the game and possibly other stuff from the novels. Things like how Calia became a (lightforged?) undead was never explained in game and that's not fair to people who don't like to read long novels, myself included (I actually need to force myself to push through pages after pages to understand what happened between WoD and Mist). Really wish Activision-Blizz would do something about this.
