I'm a Toronto boy; saw Mr. Travers here a couple of times--'89 & '92. Had the immense pleasure of seeing him again (first time in about 32 years) on the Monsters of Rock Cruise (2024). I was hugging the apron of the pool stage and totally soaked in this trio of master musicians. A fantastic performance. Thanks for featuring him on this episode.

No need to apologise, Mark. Your questions were all pertinent & well crafted. This, coupled with Pat's incredible knowledge/experience & his razor sharp memory made for a great discussion between you 4 fellas. Great shout out to the "Hughes / Thrall" album, btw...still one of my faves after all these years.

I saw Pat Travers at a fair in Brevard County, Florida in 1981. I was 13 and his show was the 2nd concert i went to. I only knew 2 staple songs, Boom Boom Out go the Lights and Snortin' Whiskey. I was absolutely blown away by his live performance, been a fan ever since.

I’ve always loved his tune Go All Night from his Heat In The Street album due to its funkier side of Pat alongside the Crash and Burn 🔥 too! Sincerely, DJP Boston, Mass.

Awesome interview .I'm originally from Orlando Florida and saw Pat a number of times at really small venues one being the Famous Fern Park Station and Pat just killed it .i mean this was a bar that would hold maybe 150 -200 people max they made the place out of a train car or caboose and added a little on to it a bit but yeah .if yall ever get Pat on your channel again would love to see if you could ask him some of those specifics i mentioned or even better if you could take phone calls from us fans asking Pat questions .but do understand this is a Kiss podcast not a Pat Travers podcast but he is such a Guitar Legend its hsrd to not want to pick his brain on some of these topics I've mentioned in the few comments i posted .

Guys when you had Pat talking bout Tommy Aldridge and he said was thinking oh no im about positive it was his recording studio tracks for the "Heat In The Street" Lp theres been alot of talk over those years that Tommy wasn't to comfortable or maybe confident in the recording studio but was a monster playing live .if you remember when he was with Ozzy and went into to record Bark Of The Moon Ozzy wasn't happy with his tracks and let him go and got Carmine (if im not mistaken) or maybe it was his brother Vinny one in there to do that record but i saw him with Rhoads on the Blizzard tour in Tampa Florida at the Curtis Hixon Hall and he was incredible .but yeah im pretty sure it was about that .even think David Coverdale brought Tommy in along with Sarso and Vivian Campbell (after cleaning house dumping Sykes and company)for the 87 tour but got him in the studio for the follow up to 87 Lp and decided not to use him (could be wrong on that last) cause I've heard conflicting stories about Tommy's exit of Whitesnake. But know forsure Ozzy was real vocal about tommy not working out in the studio .

Also heard a story about Pat showing up to see Randy Rhoads for the first time in California for the Day On The Green Concert in Oakland I believe in 82 and Pat said he was blown away with Randy's Proformance and said and I quote " Randy put on a gutair clinic that morning .think they hit the stage at 9 or10 am .would have loved to her him comment on Randy again

Great episode! Love the in-depth questions… would’ve loved more Tommy Aldridge questions. Whats the plan forward with Kiss winding down? I’d love to hear more podcasts on Cheap Trick and other 70s/80s acts… sprinkle in Kiss where it applies but would love to hear other artist’s stories! Great work guys!

I hope you have Pat on again. I'd love to hear his thoughts on the Big People band with Derek St. Holmes, Benjamin Orr & Liberty DeVito. I assume it was Ben's passing that caused the break-up, but I thought there was great potential.

Tommy actually got with Gary Moore after leaving Travers band for a bit before joining Ozzy touring band along with Sarso after Sharon and Ozzy fired Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake immediately after recording the Diary record and head to Ozzys first North American tour in 81 Yeah dont apologize for taking up to much interview time cause those things you wanted to kno was exactly stuff all us fans would like to hear Pats take on all that but again Tommy and Pat really got along well and probably wouldn't want to throw Tommy under the bus to much but im about sure Tommys only issues in other bands was recording studio stuff but as a live player he was as good a drummer you could ever ask for .i saw Tommy live with Pats band .Ozzys and Whitesnake all 3 and he was amazing all 3 times and IMO the only other drummer i considered better was Neil Pert .but There were 4 live albums in the 70s that stood out above all the rest Foghat's Live 77 or 78 .Judus Priest "Unleashed In The East" Pat Travers Band "Go For What You Know" and Frank Marino And Mahogany Rush's "Live Black Album" .but Those 2 from Travers and Priest were the two tightest bands ever .Pat wasn't kidding about just how scary good that PTB classic lineup with Aldridge. Cowling .and Thrall were just amazing
