One plot of land can build an apartment block of 8 flats.. if a municipal assembly builds 10 of them that is 80 flats... there are about 12 municipal assembly in accra for example.. 80 x 12 and is 960.. so there can easily be 1000 apartments in accra alone for affordable renting to support our kube and Waakye and welders for them to have decent basic accommodation...

I dont know why as a country we're continuing the old Colonial nonsense in this day and age by building homes for Government employees. All these are draining the government coffers and taxpayers. They are paid ( received salaries) and can afford their own accommodation just like every citizen
@ice2chill3 ай бұрын
Totally understand your point of view, but unfortunately they're not paid enough, hence the begging and corruption. They need to be taken care of in order to enforce laws and minimize corruption
@kofiarthur37492 ай бұрын
@@ice2chill I understand your point as well but who's paid enough in the country? So is it fair to say that the President, all politicians, people in higher positions or have millions starch in their homes are corrupt crooks and thieves stealing me and you money to save in abroad for themselves and their future generations is because they too are not paid enough? If so then where will that lead us to as a Country? As long as anyone works for someone no amount of monthly salary would be enough and is like that even in advanced and developed countries but people there are less less corrupt, politicians don't steal from the citizens, people & law enforcement don't go take bribes, Look just recently in the news- BBC there are number of wee paid gov"t & private employees ( border/customs, train workers, medical workers, etc) in U.K, Canada, U S all asking for more pay so no matter how much we people are paid we always gonna ask for more. Take care From Ahafo Ghana 🇬🇭
