This is an amazing TFOne Optimus Prime figure, no doubt. I'd hope they make a Megatron figure but considering they only did one character for the previous film, that being Optimus Primal, I don't think they'd make any of the other characters. And the level of engineering in this TFOne Optimus figure is so good, shame the other characters won't get this level of treatment.

It was understandable they had a young sounding Orion Pax and even Optimus Prime in this one. He was young and hadn't been through a lot of war to be hardened. I agree though, maybe they should've had Cullen's voice narrating parts like old Prime was remembering his start. Would've made a good transition.

the vehicle mode looks amazing but my deal breakers are the price and the shoulders being on pins. A more minor con for me is the faux cab head, I never liked faux parts and also how small the chest is in robot mode. I wish they make a voyager or even a leader version with the engineering of the hand placement of this one. I can definitely compromise on the guns in vehicle mode and the leg transformation

Preordered this day one, as it's by far the best we'll get from this version of Optimas Prime. Really like the face swap gimmick, and pop out blasters. This and his impressive size, and bulk really do feel like a mid 2000s Leader. I feel it would be a real miss if they don't do Megatron in this scale.

Now see thats how a prime should be made i had alot of issues with the SS prime the legs were done so lazy to me as simple as that transformation legs wise it was still better to me and at a little better price point. But still takora tommy always pulling out the stops. But yea nicely done this one I might pick up might even get a 3rd party idea to fix the shopder but looks fantastic regardless

Fun fact! For ss Tf one optimus you can slowly swivel the backpack off, and it looks so much cleaner (you can put it on again)

My main issue with this is the windshield. It's designed after Orion's truck mode, but when he becomes Optimus, the windshield changes. Studio series has the correct look in that regard. This also results in his chest being proportionately small due to it needing to hide away in favor of the inaccurate truck mode windshield.

The figure looks incredible, but those shoulders being on pins is a bit of a dealbreaker for me. Those are not going to age well. Great review, really gave me a good understanding of this Prime and helped me in deciding whether or not to purchase this figure.

The right shoulder of my copy was way too loose from the beginning, so I coated it with varnish to tighten the pin joint. However, since this toy uses relatively soft plastics, the shoulder bar couldn’t resist the tightness during the first transformation and got some ugly scars on it. Now I can make poses out of it without any problems, but boy it was so disappointing for a big handsome toy. I hate this big pin shoulder soooo much.

Adding to this, I got mine in the mail yesterday, and I gotta say great figure, but yeah the shoulder joints need to swapped to ones with stiffer movement. The shoulders could also admittedly down downsized a bit. Also I noticed the axe comes out of his hands easy when you move his arms around and as such could use a slight recolor and redesign. All in all though amazing figure, and those slight flaws don’t ruin it for the figure, but hopefully DNA design comes up with a kit that fixes these issues

I like the studio series bot mode more. But like the colors on this one more. Those shoulder joints are definitely at risk for getting more loose over time. Terrible design there. The backpack not being secure is also a terrible design. If those issues were fixed this woulda been a super fire figure

See don't get me wrong the brave commander looks cool all things considered but the things that loose my interest is the chest size and how the front of the truck is Orion and not the Optimus one where the matrix is implemented and while regardless of the SS it has the accurate proportions and a different engineered matrix chamber but it adds up to the on screen look even if the color itself isn't right

The head is definitely too big but other than that I think it's pretty accurate. The shoulders are definitely a bit large but the head throws the proportions off completely
