I made 2 trays of Mac/cheese, 1 for son's home, 1 for mind, (his tray was devoured in less than 3 days, with only son an roomate eating it) tray returned with little note "PLEASE REFILL ASAP, NEVER MAKE IT ANY OTHER WAY, BUT THIS WAY,,," As far as the pies, they were all eaten FIRST, with apple, pumpkin, an cheesecake, left to the side. I stumbled across your channel by accident and boy am I glad I did. Your mac n cheese looks delicious. I like mine baked but I like it creamy and that's what yours looks like. I also like that your recipe doesn't use eggs. That's just too much binding for me. I just made your mac n cheese for the first time today for our Christmas dinner this evening. I was all set to use a different recipe but then I found yours and changed my mind. I had to use the ingredients I had on hand since stores are closed today. I didn't have any heavy whipping cream so I used 2 cans of evaporated milk instead. Everything else I had so other than the whipping cream, I followed the recipe to the letter. Well, Christmas dinner is over and the mac n cheese was a hit. My adult daughter can't cook a lick and she is picky as heck... she don't eat this and she don't eat that. Before she went home, I asked if she wanted to take any food home with her. She said, Yup... turkey breast, mac n cheese, and chocolate cake. I had more food than that, but that's all she wanted. The fact that she wanted the mac n cheese is quite an endorsement coming from her! She really REALLY liked the mac n cheese and my husband and I did, too. The only thing I'd do differently next time is to cut all the ingredients in half. This recipe makes a HUGE amount, way more than we needed so next time I won't make as much. Half the recipe would have been plenty for us. Again, thank you for this recipe. It was delicious and I'll definitely be making it again. It puts boxed mac n cheese to shame.
