Thats the first time i see a kaga get deplaned I always thought it was near impossible to clear her hangar because of the sheer amount of planes she carries Im no CV player but 43K with 5 enemy AA ships and a good saipan seems really impressive Btw do you have a guide on how to manage fighter squadrons like a pro? Im awful at using them...

Hello, it doesn't happen very often but it can happen. The planes are very weak.. and you spit a lot of them :) For the fighters, your best bet is to watch the aircraft carrier guide here, there's some info on that. What if we try CV snipe with kaga on saipan in initial of the match. Saipan is a very weak armoured ship. May be he go down within two runs🤔?

No, unless you have a clear shot, he'll run away and take your planes down before they reach him...it's best to take down its protection, he cant survive on its own very long.

as far as T7 cvs are concerned, I'd have to agree... but it's not hopeless.

For my personal opinion.. The game was very bad.. 1 you took out boats with a lot of aa without support.. 2: You didn't attempt to pull enemy fighters at allied ships to try to take down takedowns. 3 You could have tried to join the Saipan as the first target instead of losing aircraft to battleships of great air defense.. and so on. I don't think that's your best game. but what I saw in this you have many points to improve.. it's still personal I can be wrong

No problem Pommern, I know you're good and I always welcome criticism that can move the conversation forward and help us improve. What I've found is if you give more than 10-15km to the Saipan to intercept Kaga squadrons he'll be able to direct his fighters and easily down your torpedo. Below that, he doesnt have time to react/properly adjust his fighters and your planes can deal their damage. So you're stuck in a situation where you get as close as you safely can to the action and pound the closest target with all you got at once, and sometimes it's a NC or a Cleveland, I give you that (or sometimes all the targets are crap, as in the carefully selected gameplay :). Trying a target that's further reduces the amount of planes that make it to the target.. when they make it. >20km is suicide. I've found that targeting the Saipan doesnt work, for that reason - all he has to do is run away/increase the distance and his fighters are easily able to take your planes before they even make it. He can also very easily disappear, further increasing your time to target. I've seen Kagas try to pull my Saipan fighters back to AA killzones, but since fighters can be pulled back, it's something I can counter pretty easily (and focus on the squadrons that are still going to target). I'm really curious to see this properly applied, if you can point me to some footage that demonstrates it I'd be happy to take a look! Cheers, DFA!

@DeathFromAbove if the same was a situation .. as long as one uses cv each game is different and the mental reaction also changes in each battle .. your answer is fine .. I am sure you are a good player
