nice video and great explanation actually i think AVP is situational ship....... but yah i do have one suggestion here don't always avoid dds with it at least it have TB i see pips just ignoring dds and then as we all know dd sneak around cap and do stelth torping which is dangerous so if possible cover that in next guide so whoever play this line they should aware about it all in all i want all cv player becomes like you A great great cv player i have ever seen .

T8 is my favorite in this line. T10 is very dependent on MM, quite often with MvR I get into full AA games where my planes disappear too quickly.

Re-salut DFA, J'ai acheté le pass ce weekend et débloqué le Schill. Une des raisons est que je possède déjà le Mainz (ainsi que le Black Bismark, le Black Bayern...rapid reload...). Sur le Mainz, j'ai un commandant spécifique, avec les compétences 2, 4 et 6 qui vont bien...mais aussi un rechargement rapide additionnel et depuis peu la compétence 10 de débloquer pour améliorer le rechargement rapide...du coup le commandant est parfait ou presque pour ce navire, ce qui rentabilise ce commandant spécifique qui va aussi aller sur le Black Bismark (j'avais commencé un commandant là encore spécifique, mais bon...ca va faire trop de batailles à faire ou d'expérience libre à débloquer pour le monter). Le bateau est assez fun, plus que le Prinz Eugen, mais effectivement je suis à 200% d'accord avec toi, le Mainz est largement meilleur et restera dans mes choix de prédilection pour jouer en tiers 8. Sur le Schill, les secondaires c'est sympa, mais en même temps on les perd facilement. Au niveau des canons principaux, avec deux tourelles, on perd une, on perd 50% de puissance de feu. Et puis le Mainz, il y toujours le côté sympa, pas possible à chaque bataille, de foncer en mode destroyer 😂 Juste un petit point, qui n'a rien à voir. 😉 Quand tu es quasiment pleine vie, évites d'utiliser un extincteur pour un seul incendie. 😉 Perso, j'attends d'en avoir deux ou trois, selon ce qui me tire dessus.

Salut DFA, Alors oui, tu as été long à faire la vidéo depuis la mise en place de la ligne (pas de problème pour moi, tu fais les choses au rythme où tu le souhaites 😊), de mon côté côté...j'avais acheté le pass avec ce PA, le camo, qui était l'accès anticipé de la ligne...du coup, j'ai fait mes 1ère batailles...cette année 😂😂😂 J'avais commencé à jouer avec, après les buff d'AA et juste avant le pass avec le T7 California. Moralité, ça a commencé avec un peu de fun, avant moins. Finalement, je suis retourné sur la ligne le mois dernier et, au final, assez souvent du fun avec ce T6. Le seul point qui surprend et est, au final, un bon point, compliqué de faire des gros dégâts (gros calibre jamais débloqué si je ne dis pas de bêtises). Bon point, car ça évite de pourrir l'expérience de jeu des autres en petit tiers. Amusant, j'ai eu une bataille, avec un joueur qui a fait exactement ton mode opératoire pour contrer le Béarn (vidéo très fun), promener mes chasseurs 😂

Great video DFA, yeah there are only a few ships where IFHE or IFHE+ makes sense. The testing you did was great to see really worst case scenario since you were hitting mid ship and sometimes belt. I would be interested in Yodo on how well it does with and without because it feels like a different ship with IFHE+ since its AP shells are horrible. Thunderer and Golaith make sense due to their caliber size and HE pen off the rip. DM really needs APCS to be consistent and Zao imo can take either. AP on Zao is oddly nice pen numbers without APCS and APCS sometimes ruins the pen for DDs up close. Thank you for going over and adding some more science to the process.

First of all thanks for this video I do have schill i think as you mentioned shill is more capable to deal with cruiser and bbs I do have her with 60k avg damage in 40 games and i dont like to play cruiser more often until nd unless its heavy But schill is special for me because i dont have mainz but to be frank Light cruiser gets hammered pretty badly with schill I do got cc on black shimanto 😅😅😅😅

I have both Mainz and Schill, but tend to enjoy Schill a bit more :) the secondaries + torp angles works very well

I got the schill as rental and it’s amazing! After 30 battles, my stats are still at 60k dmg avg and 100% wr, a time that wg truly made a great ship

Schill has super guns and reloading .Actually it is a nice ship if there is no cv in the game but mainz is more powerful.

Schill seems very much like an upgraded Graf Spee - not just in gun layout and style, but the Spee also isn’t exactly the quickest cruiser in the tier. I guess you have to be cautious at the start as you don’t have the speed to disengage from other cruisers and DDs, or even some t8 BBs. I do like the Spee though, even if it’s been some time since I played it.

I love Weser. Her planes are squishy AF but she's fun. And God have mercy with any DD within Secondary Range

for some reason i have been seeing german CVs more commonly than american ones especially for tier 6.7,8, nice guide btw DFA gg, the first game consisted of one of the most annoying cv players(cv snipers)

I have just got this and was hoping the torpedoes might do a bit more damage than the 20 hits for 3 damage that happens on the Visby - oh well I will just have to remember to keep firing the guns!

I've heard that there is a reduced fire chance for shots that hit the belt (or increased chance when hitting the superstructure). I have no idea if it's true or not. There does seem to be some undocumented effects on fire setting. I have logged well over 2,000 HE hits for some ships, and still seeing a way lower fire rate than advertised, even accounting for the fire/flood resistance stat.

It could be interesting to see the effects of IFHE+ on DDs and light cruisers. If IFHE+ gets more HE full pens, it might be useful to clear light ships faster.

I’m rather enjoying the update/nerf. CV’s are still very powerful, it just raises the skill threshold for the CV players. I’m definitely seeing more variety of ships, especially DD’s now, and that’s a bit of fresh air.

agree with terry, ifhe is probably more effective shooting bow/stern, but if you are in position to do that ap is probably better.

DM and Zao don't surprise me, Zao actually has pretty decent AP for an IJN cruiser. I generally would still argue that IFHE isn't worth it on most ships, because the increase in full pens just isn't there if you're targeting deck for fires. What might work (just thinking aloud) would be to bow/stern target with HE on relatively precise ships, but then again, why bother trying for the damage over time (with potentially reduced fire chance) if you can just use AP dps. The advantage of sinking targets more quickly with AP outweighs a lot of things :) But glad you did the testing, so I don't have to
