The frustration I have is not the govt trying to get more fuel efficient cars on the road, that is great. It's that they allow manufacturers to sacrifice reliability at the cost of fuel efficiency standards and making unreliable vehicles has a significant impact on these vehicles "carbon footprint". It's a half measure and very shortsighted. And yes, DEF is absolutely horrible.

If they drop 35% I'll be in a Gladiator Rubicon this afternoon and still keeping my nicely built out JKUR. Right now I will not pay what they are asking on these products for a slight upgrade to my JK I just won't. The interiors are more refinded and the attention to detail is a bit better but end of the day, 3.6l and a few upgrades over the JK that I just cannot part ways with. But 35% lower I'll be at the dealer today ordering my Gladiator

I've heard or read that "thirty-five percent drop" to the price of Jeeps from three other sources before you mentioned it, Jason. I thought each of those previous times, "that's wishful thinking." I also thought, "Not a chance of that happening!" (Can you imagine all the lawsuits such a price drop would bring about by folks who've owned their Jeeps for one, two, three, and possibly even more years!?! I'm sure there would be many lawsuits. That's what we've become as a people in this country of ours.) Am delighted the Pentastar is going to be available again with the eight-speed automatic. Perhaps Jeep may lower some retail prices by ten or possibly even twelve percent, but I'd not bet on even that small a reduction taking place across the board. Keep up the great work. (Been outside changing tires on our Enclave and our Rubicon. Ruby has had a slow leak for the past few weeks; the Enclave hit a lava rock on Thursday afternoon when the Enclave's driver turned west into the setting sun. He---not to mention any names---didn't see the rock! Fortunately, Debbie wasn't driving. She even helped change the tires today. There are no new car dealers or even used car dealers on Molokai. (We're part of Maui County. Jim Faulk Jeep in Kahului, Maui puts an ADM of $10,000 or more on all of their new Jeeps, or at least they were doing that earlier this year.) Have a wonderful Merry Christmas with your family. Andy McKane

Well going back to TK’s video, I can certainly say that the markdowns are indeed here at least in Vegas where I live, I can’t speak for the manufacturer but this dealer does have a couple 24 power wagon tradesman for 47k!! Which is way below the msrp of 62k and they’re including first year registration.. the deals are definitely coming 🤙🏼

@Annon89Күн бұрын
Msrp is not what the truck costs to make. That’s what keeps the million dollar dealerships alive and well and acting like they make no money with millions of dollars of inventory sitting on the lots for months. When people stop buying the prices go down. People keep up the I’m not buying cause it’s too expensive you will see prices keep going down. They do have a floor but it definitely isn’t msrp.
@davidporter70516 сағат бұрын
that's not how it works. If they don't sell supply decreases. See 2007-10
@jlautomotive63496 сағат бұрын
I would agree to a point… the “msrp” is most definitely not the floor. As we have seen in the past you could negotiate money off that msrp and get a lower price… so even then the dealership and manufacturer are still making money. Most people don’t argue over msrp, they are usually more focused on their trade in value and monthly payments

Not offering the 3.6L V6 with automatic didn’t make sense even for a second. They already had that combination for years on the assembly line. It’s not that they would need a costly retooling of the factory. Also that engine is their main engine for 14 years and the automatic transmission is their main transmission choice. Not providing that combination in the Wrangler but having it in the Gladiator was a complete head scratcher. Just didn’t make sense.

No automotive manufacturer operates with a 35% profit margin much less has the ability to lower the MSRP of its vehicles 35% and still make a profit. Stellantis already had price reductions on several of its models for 2025 and none of them were close to 35%. Anyone who believes anything this guy says in his videos rode a very special bus to school. TK makes videos stating the obvious of what's going on in the automotive industry and with Stellantis and then will make a video claiming he has "insider knowledge" and "insider sources"
@barrydworak21 сағат бұрын
They need to change the vehicles to fit market demand. You're right. They can't just lower the prices on everything as-is. They could figure out what people will buy. Jeeps used to be simpler. A lot of us liked that. There's a big gap between real Jeeps on the lot and a Jeep at the theoretical base msrp, which is almost nonexistent.
@djjd302718 сағат бұрын
I've watched a lot of TKs videos. While I want what he says to be true I just don't think it is. He says that all the EPA stuff is going to be gone. I'm not buying that. From what I heard that makes the most sense is everything as far as emissions is going to frozen to 2019 levels and fines for not meeting CAFE will be null and void if the product is made in the USA with american made parts. I do think we are going to see a lot of price cuts across the board in 2025 but more than likely it will be around 8 to 10% with better financing deals.

35% price cut is BS. Not going to happen. For example, in August I got my RAM 2500 with PW package and other options with $14k off. Instead of $67k (MSRP) I got it for $53k. That was more than 20% off. Thirty five percent off would be $43,550 MSRP. There is no way on green Earth that all the suppliers making parts for Stellantis, shipping companies transporting the parts, Stellantis itself and the RAM dealers would make money on that truck for that price. Current industry (don’t know RAM specifically) profit on new cars is single digit percentage for the manufacturer.
