Base for base, they are pretty close in price, but have you looked at current prices for just regular 1500s. You can easily get a Rebel up to $75,000, without all that power, wide body or advance active suspension. What is a last call TRX going for now? $120K? Compared to the Raptor V6, the RHO is a bargain, with much more power and about 10K cheaper spec for spec.

I think what really happened on the razor rocks with the Raptor was reluctance of the traction system to put power to the front tire with more traction/weight on it. Great comparison video guys! I was sold on the RHO until I learned about the thermostat failures happening between 10-30k miles with other vehicles that have the Hurricane 3.0. If the thermostat gets stuck in the closed position, it will cause permanent engine damage with a warped head and block being the result. You won't see anything on the dipstick because there isn't one on this engine. You will need to look for the "milkshake" by looking at the inside of the oil fill cap. It's possible this issue has been resolved and maybe someone will chime in on this. The other issue I see with this engine is the plastic thermostat housing. Yep, plastic. That was a bad engineering decision to make the housing out of plastic. Both the thermostat and its housing is a PITA to replace if/when it comes time. I'm unsure if these parts fall under the powertrain warranty so an extended warranty may add some peace of mind. It's ironic that an engine called Hurricane has water problems. For me, I'm staying away from the Hurricane!

@TheMeanmarine13 i have them on my truck right now, they are the worst tire I have picked yet, gravel they chip, I would suggest trying something else next time, almost anything is better.

Basically any truck with an off road package and locking rear diff could have doe exactly the same.

If they made it in a two door regular cab, I would own it.

RHO is a great track if you don't have money for RAPTOR-R! It's better to have something than nothing 🤣
@sleeeper886 сағат бұрын
Wow after watching this I might cancel my raptor r order and get another trx instead. These trucks need front lockers, and it's ridiculous to not offer a front locker in a off road focused truck

Come on Andre, leave your skirt and purse at home when you head out to the next pony ride.😅

Put these trucks on a desert track , then it would be a proper test based on what they were built for , rock crawling is not what they were built for .

So hard to compare these modern trucks with all their different modes...

It's mostly in the tires. My AWD Ford EcoSport with snow tires...nothing fazes it in MI snow.

For all of you who blame manufacturers for the prices, you do not understand what's really going on. Notice, from Jan of 17 to the end of 2020, inflation was only 1.5% over the ENTIRE 4yrs. From Jan 2021 until now, we've seen things almost double. The government fined ram/ dodge, etc. for every hemi produced. They got worse every year. The government also FORCED all of those companies to do ev production. It wasn't an option if they wanted to continue to sell here. Musk said he looses a ton of money of every car produced. The government gives him tax money to offset the loss plus profit. Ford and ram do not get this. They're putting in their own money for r and d for vehicles that no one wants. They have to charge even more to on gas powered vehicles to help with the loss. China owns gm and has the benefit of slave labor. Your truck may say assembled in north America, but your parts come from China, or a shell company in east Asia via China. Google gm vehicles made in china. It's almost all of them. They have other assembly plants as well, but china owns gm. It happened in 09.

Not sure why you guys did not lower the tire pressure
@davidwethington93202 сағат бұрын
There's a lot of disagreement on the subject. My opinion is, since it wasn't deep it probably wouldn't make much difference. However I would have aired down around 5 psi myself.
