Base for base, they are pretty close in price, but have you looked at current prices for just regular 1500s. You can easily get a Rebel up to $75,000, without all that power, wide body or advance active suspension. What is a last call TRX going for now? $120K? Compared to the Raptor V6, the RHO is a bargain, with much more power and about 10K cheaper spec for spec.

Sounded like a little excuse making for the R on that first obstacle. It definitely struggled more mainly because you could see it feeding more power to the tires without traction and less to the ones that needed it whereas the RHO seemed better at distributing power where it needed to be. Better clearance on the R was evident. Very good comparison and both trucks were very close and did well overall.

There were numerous tests by TFL and Driving Sports TV where it shows Ford wheel braking AWD is struggling in comparisons to point it's not getting out actually on different vehicles same way, it's ok they can improve most likely, Ford should so the AWD together with 4 Auto is complete
@johnagmail321616 күн бұрын
100% Correct, and that was supposed to be fixed by applying the brakes to the wheels with less traction to trick the trucks into applying the power where needed...at least with Nissan back 10 years ago...apparently Ford didn't pick up on that...and it was very obvious.
@2003evodave10 күн бұрын
Two things were the problem here, 1- the driver was obviously afraid of the Fords extra power plus apprehensive due to these being borrowed vehicles. 2- The driver is not that good at off roading, especially in the snow and ice.
@coachvonyo10 күн бұрын
@@2003evodave 2 ways I would refute that. 1. The trucks were driven nearly identically, and the "light" tires were spinning on the R, so the power was there. 2. If the thermostat gets stuck in the closed position, it will cause permanent engine damage with a warped head and block being the result. You won't see anything on the dipstick because there isn't one on this engine. You will need to look for the "milkshake" by looking at the inside of the oil fill cap. It's possible this issue has been resolved and maybe someone will chime in on this. The other issue I see with this engine is the plastic thermostat housing. Yep, plastic. That was a bad engineering decision to make the housing out of plastic. Both the thermostat and its housing is a PITA to replace if/when it comes time. I'm unsure if these parts fall under the powertrain warranty so an extended warranty may add some peace of mind. It's ironic that an engine called Hurricane has water problems. For me, I'm staying away from the Hurricane!

That's ok, others will buy it

The hurricane is a brand new platform and many brands have had issues with new tech. Saying you will "stay away from the Hurricane" makes you come off as biased, as Toyota's were blowing up engines for the past year now and no one says they'll "stay away" from Toyota.

@I agree, 6500Lbs is a lot of weight. Given the popularity of your channel, it seems like it would be a great tool to test the traction of modern trucks while making unique content. It would also educate people on the differences between different manufacturers. Not sure how much it would cost to have a set of 1/2ton truck capable rollers fabricated, but I’m pretty sure it would be moot compared with all the content you could make with it.

Guys which is faster between RHO vs Raptor R Baja 2023 model ?
@trumoteАй бұрын
For those looking to off-road their RHO, do not buy those steps. Clearly lost several inches of clearance over the rocks. Other than that, sweet truck!
@sduffield197725 күн бұрын
Raptor has the steps as well. The steps on the RHO sit higher than the skid plates underneath and they help with gravel/rock chips in the paint. If the RHO had the 37s that the Ford does, it wouldn't have scraped the rock at all.

You need to put the ranger raptor with its front diff on those obstacles to see the difference!

I kinda knew the Ram would do better off road, every one that I have had the past 50 yrs has done better than Fords ✌💖☮

Dude! And every guy, including myself who’s ever been out in a four-wheel with buddies who own Fords knows this and what happens halfway through the trip as you start seeing them finding excuses to go home or something else they gotta do they don’t wanna be embarrassed any longer and they bow out seen it half a dozen times And the guys who didn’t bow out always say “well I gotta go home and figure out what’s wrong with my truck cause this thing usually rips on the trail and I leave everyone behind but today it didn’t do very well“ lol and I always laugh. Well this is par for the coursefor me in my ram leading. There’s a reason there’s a tow hook on every Ford.

IMO both are overpriced by $30-$40k. And any truck marketed as "off road" needs front and rear lockers or it shouldn't have that badging. And Andrey's problem is he lets off power or hits the brakes every foot or two. As Roman said, "Sometimes you just have to stay in it'. Stellantis is rumored to have a big price drop in the next few weeks, I'd wait until that happens.
