I met my wife our Freshman year of High School. We dated off and on all four years of High School. When we graduated, she moved away to go to college and I took a job out of the area. We stayed in touch for while but over time the great distance between us took its toll. Years later we ran into each other at a mutual friend's wedding. We were both single and thrilled to see each other. We literally danced with each other the whole wedding reception so much that I don't even remember talking to the bride and groom. We picked up where we left off and two years later we were married. What they say is true, "absence makes the heart grow fonder." It will be 23 years for us next month and we have two healthy boys. I couldn't imagine my life without her. Life is so fun when you are married to the love of your life and your best friend.

Hey wranglerstar i just turned 18 i have been watching you for 2 years now, i cant begin to explain how much I enjoy your video’s, i have ADHD its a rather common disability that modern kids have to deal with, i have found peace from my anxiety in your videos, you have such a confidence on life, entering my adult life, i have my own business, making a somewhat ok amount of money, and i feel happy about my life! Thanks for everything!! Im so glad i clicked on your cheapest shovel on amazon😂 thanks for everything cody!

Jennifer, that is utter bullcrap. ADHD has nothing to do about people eating to much sugar. It's a different way in that peoples brain function. People with ADHD have always existed. It was the ADHD personalities that discovered new worlds in the stone age, that was the people at the frontiers, looking to see what they could find on the flip side of the mountains. The problem with ADHD in todays society is school. It is an old insitiution that is built to create "workers" and servers for society. All persons are supposed to conform into something that society is demanding. But that is not possible. We are all different and it is just not possible to have one kind of education for all humanity. I work with kids, some of them have ADHD. They are smart like little Einsteins. But if you put them on a chair and ask them to read a book every day they will loose their eager to learn and start acting out. Medication is just a help for these kids not to fall out of society. It doesn't solve the problem but it helps. So, is medication evil? No. But it is not the answer. We need to change the foundation and forms of education. Because ADHD is not a impairment or dissabillity, it's a superpower.

I am sure your diet does not affect your brain or heart. Like it does your liver. I own changing my diet around to helping my seizures. And I am on low dose anti seizure medication. Why if I can probably go a little further. I might be able to be seizure free through diet and exercise. My doctor even says it's possible.
@MrEagle9816 жыл бұрын
@Fencelin Films , I just wanted to respond to your note about ADHD. When I was young, many of my teachers told my parents that I probably have ADHD and should get tested. My parent's never did. They decided that asking my teachers to provide me with more challenging (not just time consuming) work would sharpen my focus and calm me down. To this day, I am grateful that I was never diagnosed and put on medication. I still have trouble focusing when I am doing busy-work and I am in a constant state of motion (leg tapping, pen fiddling, etc.) I am glad that you find peace in Cody's videos, but I may suggest that you find a hobby that really pushes you and isn't easy for you to do. I started playing guitar again recently and find that when I practice (since I am not very good) I can really get sucked into it even though it is very hard for me to do even basic things. Just an example. Best of luck in life.

Dear Cody, my name is Quinn, and I am 14 years old. I have been watching your channel for about two years. My passion is specifically fishing, but I will get my hand's on anything outdoors. Being from a conservative, Christian, blue-collar family we are pretty simple people much like yourself. I have always had a dream of living much like you do. To settle down and raise a hard-working family like yours. You have inspired me to rethink my outlook on life and to take on new challenges and hobbies. I very often look at my generation with disgust. We are lazy, rude and have little to no work ethic. I see people like you who are educating my generation to be good, creative and patriotic people. It sounds a little funny, but I see myself in your son Jack. It fills me with hope to see others of my generation refusing to let modern culture stop them from living like our fore father's, and enjoying this beautiful bounty God gave us to enjoy. Thankyou Cody, you are doing a great service. God bless you. P.S. I make/carve my own fishing lures and would love to send you one. Maybe you could even test it out in video?
@alext20466 жыл бұрын
Quinn Muller you’re supposed to love the world dude, if you believe what you say you believe in. I don’t think Jesus would go around saying something like “I often look at this generation as lazy and disgusting.” But then again you’re young and you’re learning.

My wife turned her life around and trusted in God to bring a man for her, and I married her when she was 47. I was 46, and we are happier together than either of us ever were apart. We both lived the world's lie about how to be happy, and how we wish we could have saved ourselves the heartache and drama. We watch our son and daughter (mine from a previous relationship) grow up, and wish that we could save them the troubles, yet we have great hope for them also. Stay strong, and God bless!

I have been so blessed to be raised in a loving, normal home with parents who have been married for 49 years. That start influenced my adult life as I made a choice to leave my career behind when they needed me most. Running the family business & getting to be with my folks daily may seem to some as a curse, but it's not! Found my soul mate 21 years ago & they now work with me & share in the love that never ends from my folks. Couldn't ask for more even though the real lesson is to be selfless...it's sad that we have gotten away from multi generational living. Jack & Sweetloaf are absolutely beautiful work. Happy anniversary you two too.
@kamenriderblade20996 жыл бұрын
Asians generally were also living in Multi-Generational homes up to the 90's. Only western influences started changing that. We need to change it back to the old Taiwanese styles where families lived in homes that were 3-5 stories high with optional basements / crawl spaces. The older you were, the lower the floor you got to live on while the young-uns lived higher up with the younger you are.

On the same token, marriage ISN'T for EVERYONE. I know plenty of happy single people. Not everyone wants a family. You chose to do something different with your life, and it may come as a shock to you that there are people that even choose to do something different than YOU. It may make their life less fulfilling by YOUR measure, but since when should anyone measure their life based on what someone else thinks? The measure of a person is in their deeds and their feelings towards their fellow human, not that they have a wife or husband or how many children they have.
@bobbannon27016 жыл бұрын
rewtuser I think you’re right it’s not for everyone but most people have more success/happiness in life with a partner and children to share it with .Like Cody said a lot of media implies family is always a struggle instead of a natural and fruitful human behavior (for most people).
@shockwavecity6 жыл бұрын
Some people do well with it, some people don't. I just don't think it's fair to lump everyone in there. There's all different kinds of people in the world, and that's what makes it great, and scary sometimes.

I think if you listen to the examples he gave it was women that now wanted a family but had used up their youth for any number of reasons and now it was almost too late to start a family. he didn't say anything about other situations. of course it's okay to be single. Jesus was single as we're some of the disciples, but this is a tough world and a lot of times it would be nice to have someone to lean on. This world can be a lonely place.

I've been hooked on hickory shirts for years now. The brand I like is "Key", I can get it in a large tall for my ape arms. My dad and his brothers "worked in the woods", here in the northwest, when I was a kid back in the 70's, before they all eventually became Automatic Fire Sprinkler Fitters. They wore Hickory shirts in both trades. Your concern for our culture is not unwarranted. I remember my folks commenting, even when I was a boy, how culture seem to be slipping downward. I'll be 50 years old soon, and am often prayerfully concerned about our culture and families.

Without a doubt your family will understand more than most. My husband is a volunteer fireman. Last Monday we lost too young man, and a tragic airplane accident. One of the young men I just got his pilot license. They were going up for a routine flight. They were leaving a very small airport in the area, there was only radio contact no Tower. Another plane was coming in as they we're going up, the smaller plane carrying the two young men clipped the tail of the larger plane coming in. Both young men were killed. Thank God there was no one hurt in the plane that was coming in for a landing. But as a volunteer fireman yourself this tragedy has taken a horrible toll on not only the fire department but our small community. Please keep these families and our community bathed in prayer. You are a rare bird! I stumbled onto your channel looking for some "how-to" and now I have watched a few more of your videos including this one. Your view of life is spot on. Please allow me to tell you my story and please share with your wife.// I met my wife when we were in elementary school. I took music lessons from her father. We were high school sweethearts and she played piano and I played several wind instruments. Later, after college, we were married and enjoyed 42 years together. We formed our own dance band and were known far and wide as Tim & Paula and The Little Big Band. We raised two children and enjoyed a traditional life filled with joy and happiness. My wife was the best thing that ever happened to me. She was our family's rock! I lost my Paula, three months ago. She died unexpectedly in her sleep at 64 years old. Her strong faith in God has provided me some comfort and my wonderful family is dealing with our loss the best way we can. I mention this to you because watching your video reminds me of our family's life together. A strong, respectful relationship is evident watching you and your wife interact. Working together toward a common goal, including our children in everything we did and good and wholesome activities provided great learning opportunities for our family. Take care and enjoy each other. Life is sometimes too short. P.S. you have a wonderful ability to express yourself and I wish more people could hear you talk about family and all that is good.

@@RustandRedemption Most people personally don't take criticism from people they don't know or they don't care. He doesn't know you. Why the hell should he humble himself before you? Someone thinks too much of themselves.

I could not imagine a more perfect way to spend an anniversary. I stumbled across your Father's Day Charles Ingalls video , (I actually posted about it on my FB page) and it made me realize, I was raised with the perfect example of him with my Dad. He was the epitome of Pa., and his example of what a good husband, father should be, strongly influenced my dating choices growing up. Families have strayed so far, from our roots, that they are clueless as to what a solid, marriage should look like. Thank you, for sharing your life with those not as fortunate, to be raised in a solid, family home.

So if you take religion out of the picture for the moment and stop assuming that family etc is all god's will and the only way to have a happy life, the statistics of marriage across all gender unions show that more marriages in end divorce than not. I don't think marriage has anything to do with finding the right partner or the right values and having that life long companion. Finding the right person and the one you want to spend the rest of your life with is hard and I truly believe that not everyone gets lucky. Some are obviously doomed to failure but some try and it still doesn't work out. For me at least, finding the right partner hit me out of left field when I wasn't even looking. That was 15 years ago and I was early 30s then. Life experience had helped both of us understand what we wanted and needed. My family is the most important thing to me but it isn't to everyone and the fact that we are all different is a good thing.

"get mauled by the world". What an eloquent phrase to describe the plight of so many people today. I really enjoyed your observations, etc toward the end of your video. The truth will set you free. Hang in there/God bless and keep your family and continue to keep us entertained and informed--THANK-YOU

How do you know what their situation is? Could be she's waitressing because her husband has been injured at work and they need income? Or because if she goes back to work they can retire earlier? Income is not the sole role of the husband. I watched BOTH my parents work. My mom was home with us until we were old enough to be home alone, She worked part time while we were at school then later full time and more lucratively when we were older. My folks have been retired for 18 years, living life as 'zoomers' and will celebrate their 49th this year. Me, I choose to be single and independent. The picture of idealism you paint is not one that I relate to. My truth is different.

Wranglerstar I’ve bought your book. I’ve read it. And I thought it was very good. And I really liked the old tradition style of the book and your KZbin channel, ive been following your channel for about 3 years... your new videos seem very different.... maybe it’s because your old style of videos you couldn’t make a living off of. I don’t find anything wrong with using modern equipment and tractors. But you are doing something different in your videos from the past year... I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe it’s just me. I guess you do have to make a living and you need to do clickbait titles and a viewgrabbing video every here and there... but when you made videos as a hobby I and had another job those were the prime videos. That’s what I liked though. Now that you can make KZbin full time is probably what you enjoy most, do what you want. I guess this comment has been all over the place. But this video was getting closer to what the channel use to be about and that reminded me. God Bless Zach

Double Bit Craftsman . I agree, life evolves, doesn't it?! It has a definite way of tramping on. I still love videos from "newer" you-tubers" that seem like they're just from "the camera right on the phone".... or something like that. Raw and maybe a little awkward. In a good way, of course. I also appreciate the beauty and the art (and content) of videos here on this channel and I am still learning very important lessons. Which is great. Everything changes....let's hope always in an uplifting way.

I don't think he has changed one single little bit. He bought him self a prime piece of property and has filmed building it while being as independent as he chooses. You don't need to always use primitive tools to classify your property as a homestead, not a modern homestead anyways. I love this channel!

I have been married for almost a year now to my beautiful wife I am 19 years old and it's amazing I have such a great and blessed life. it's amazing how much I have learned watching your videos starting from when I was 13 and getting into blacksmithing and I seen your very first blacksmithing video, then I started getting into chainsaws, woodworking, and throughout the years how to be the best man I could be not only by taking the words you say to heart but by getting closer to god. your videos helped me gain new outlooks on life, my relationships and my faith and so much more I just want to say thank you for your channel and for sharing your wisdom with others.

Doesn't it say that in heaven there will be no marriage and we will be like brothers and sisters ?? What is wrong with being single ?? I dont think that I am some monster because I choose to be alone in life ! specially when my wife left me after I hurt my back and became disabled !! not everyone is meant to be married just because you are !! Also if you remember your bible Jesus never married and many church fathers never married ! I am not against marriage but one needs to put things into perspective not everyone lives the same life has you do Sir !

The common portrayal of failed marriages isn’t an agenda, it’s reality, the reason they show it a lot is because it is relatable, because a majority of marriages end in failure, also, you say that you don’t like agendas but you just said in your videos you are trying to give the message of it being okay to not cheat or do anything bad, you just don’t like agendas that push for things you don’t like
