Once we got the kinks worked out it worked great. We just finished up another field and it worked great! I think it'll really help us bump up our hay game.

Would y'all rather wrap or dry store in a barn? Or does that type of haylage need to be sealed to prevent moisture loss?

It depends on what we are trying to do. All this that we wrapped couldn't be stored in a barn due to the high moisture content. It would more than likely cause the barn to burn down. The cows really like the high moisture haylage compared to the dry hay.

Thanks! You can wrap around 40 bales or so. It's also according to bale size and how much wrap you put on each bale. You can adjust it to more or less wrap while you are wrapping

We usually do between 48”-52” in diameter. If you get much over that with high moisture hay it gets really heavy.

The Farmer we purchased the complete Re-baling operation from has chicken houses and cattle, also plants cotton and peanuts .... He allowed us to use his shed until we could got our 2-120LX60wX22H TYSON STEEL Sheds erected (we now have 5) Two TSC store contracts were included in the transaction.... We renegociated the TSC contracts and in the 4 years that have followed the TSC procurement agent has given us 4 more stores and more should we desire............ We use GPS - Auto steered Deere Tractors, Krone Mowers, Krone tedders, But are transitioning from JD balers to Krone Balers, We strive to store above 2000 4x5 rounds

We probably do 1500-1800 bales a year (haylage and dry). What made you switch from JD balers to Krone? Have you been pleased with the Krone?

Both The J D balers we have are almost New the 460mM My son bought from Florida 2 years ago and the 460R came from Texas at the end of last year...... We have a friend that quit Deere and went Krone and he got my Son to help him bale some hay and he put my Son on one of his Krones and the Love affair with Deere was over??? A Krone Dealer at The Sunbelt Ag Expo gave my Son a deal on some of the Krone equip he had there..... So instead of taking it back to his dealership, we brought it to Carolina..... Just in time to bale 100 acres of cool weather retarded Bermuda hay (1OO bales) So far So good, My Son already has prospective buyers for the 2 Deeres I may do a walk around in the near future..... because they are brick outhouse built balers!!!!!
