Wrath of the Demon Amiga longplay Part 6/6 (HD)

Wrath of the Demon longplay.
One of the first longplays I recorded, but the quality was terrible as I had no idea how to encode videos properly back then.
So I decided to re-record it.

For its time, this was a fantastic game. As a 14-year-old I used to play this game and it would send shivers down my spine with each new level I reached. Amiga games rock!

I never played that game, but I have a very strong and persistent memory, as a boy, to walk in a computer store, look at a computer showing the game as demo (the first horse sequence), and I was utterly transfixed. I remember being frozen in from of the screen in loop, for at least an hour before my parent got me back. I couldn't believe the amount of colors, and I think it was the first time I saw parallax scrolling used so intensively. Made a huge impression on me. Now I'm a pro game dev :)

Wow! what an awesome game. I like it because it resembles Castlevania in graphics and style. Castlevania being my all time favorite horror slasher games. Thanks for posting 5/5 stars.

like many others are saying..this owes so much to shadow of the beast in music and gameplay you'd think it was part of the same game series.

Absolutely superb graphics for the Amiga, though it is an unabashed Shadow of the Beast clone (right down to the sound effect for punching enemies). Excellent play through, as always. 5*

The 31 year old man who now owns a PS3 and a Wii is looking with a dissapointment at a game called Wrath of the Demon. Horrible graphics, repetitive gameplay, total disaster. He instantly remembers how many sleepless nights he spent playing this game when he was a teenager and nostalgia kicks in. Shadow of the Beast, Elvira, Kick off, Final fight, Cabal, Toki... AMIGA IMMORTAL!!!

You know, for a game as dull as this one...it's pretty awesome in its own way. I mean, you're a muscle-bound Aryan man who punches goblins and bats (on his horse, no less), and the end has you hadoukening a gigantic demon. It knew what we liked in terms of its premise, but GOD did this game look tedious to play. Ah, well. Gratz, bro.

This has to be more than a clone of Shadow... - I mean even the instruments from the theme tune sound the same. Nice graphics for it's time, but the gameplay looks dull as hell, just like the original Shadow... lets be honest here guys, it was a pretty game with absolutely horrific gameplay. I much preferred the sequels puzzle elements, and Psygnosis went on to do some amazing games, but the original just sticks in my mind as being crud.

Ok, Ive been seeing a lot of videos on how difficult old school games for Amiga were. But this is just pathetic... Hercules one-hit kill punches to everything? The guy looks like a dork in brown socks and mailman shorts.
