The progress they have made over the years has been tremendous and positive. I wouldn't compare this game to DR2.0 in terms of a modern 380 horse WRC class. These monsters have different philosophies of driving technique. Great game.

I am a bit worried about the game. While I was playing there was disturbing noise from the game and the game became mute. Then I had to remove the disc and re-insert it. It was running fine after that, but still it’s worrying me😬😕

Would be interested to hear if the force feedback is improved from last year. Also was curious for more graphics comparison to WRC8. You mentioned the camera is more dynamic. Is that just for the chase cam? Is the head/dash cam more dynamic?
@OverTake_gg4 жыл бұрын
The graphics look similar to WRC8, but with improved weather effects. The camera is generally more dynamic, which is especially visible in chase. Can't make a qualified statement about how the force feedback improved unfortunately, but hope this was still helpful. 🙂

@@OverTake_gg ok thank you! I'm currently still working through the content of WRC8 and I play exclusively in helmet cam, so it dosen't look like enough new content (other than tracks) for me to upgrade at full price. I appreceate the info.

Joe-Lou hey man I’m a wheel-only guy myself and I can safely say wrc 9 has significantly better force feedback (lot of hours into 8). When I jumped on it, it felt like wrc 8 but with more stability over jumps and bumps, and just more consistency overall. My crash rate dropped strictly due to less freak things happening. Hope it helps 🤘

@@swemx7403 you havent played wrc9, for sure, and havent driven a real car on extreme loads, it is the oposite, dr2 is fake sim, it looks like the car is sliding realisticly, but it is just the mass inertia, it had scripted ffb ( now it is corected but still nowhere close to reality), it has no tire model, the cars just slide like they're on greace, and the actions you make with the steering wheel to stay on track is not allways realistic, where wrc9 gives close to rbr an real life weight transfer feel, ffb very informative, and even wrc8 had it but it was too grippy, so you have no idea what youre talking about

Bought this game yesterday, already putting in for a refund. I only started playing rally games about a year ago, however I’ve put in major time and practice. I have some solid times on DR2.0 and I only use a controller, never owned a wheel (pos. 25/2450+ on Xbox leaderboards or pos. 250/probably over 15K other players) in Hancock Creek Burst, but I also have many other good positions in many other stages. The problem with WRC 9 aside from the inconsistent steering settings that plagued WRC 8 and are still there in 9 [see video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXjJnGedZsh-aKc ] is that my cars almost feel weightless and just glide along the gravel through turns (mostly used the Hyundai i20). Rather than fix the steering issues, it seems they just made the front tires have more pull or traction and react to steering much better, it’s almost too easy to control the cars now once you tune it proper. Take for instance, the current online championship in Mexico, in my 4 hrs of playtime yesterday, with about 30-40 of that being in this challenge, I managed to finish in 52nd place. I scrolled down but after about 300 other players I figured that’s good enough for me, 52/~300+ others tho there could be over 5000 others if I go by previous WRC8 and some WRC9 leaderboards I did bad on. The lighting is so dark in a lot of areas, and the graphics are quite literally a copy paste from WRC 8. Also you saying the cars stop in an instant and that only proves my point more on how weightless the cars feel. Everyone says the physics are better, but I actually disagree, maybe go back and try WRC8 and you’ll see the cars act quite a bit more realistic and like they’re heavy and react way more to subtle bumps in the road. I’ve always liked the WRC stages more than DR2.0, but it seems they tried to give WRC 9 that DR2.0 feel where you can just glide along and look like you’re just cruising on a mounted train track with your car. I still think DR2.0 is better, and I do like the WRC games but the changes they made to this WRC game are so minuscule it literally could’ve been an update for WRC 8. I’d give it a 5/10, with WRC8 6-7/10 due to them never fixing the steering sensitivity issue, and DR2.0 a 8.5-9/10.

Exactly! Somebody who finally understands what I've been saying about wrc games all these years!! I love all the cars and stages but, gameplay is very poor!! The handling of the cars feel almost like if the rear wheels are the ones steering! Kinda like a forklift and it makes it so unplayable specially for a rally game!! Just give me DR2 gameplay with WRC licenses and we'll have a killer of a rally game

@@2sik_UK Don't listen to people saying "Dirt Rally 2.0 better" without any valid points about WHY... WRC is DIFFERENT from Dirt Rally... personally I find WRC way more enjoyable cause 1) it's career mode is MASSIVELY BETTER than Dirt where you just go through hoops of "race with this car... now race with that car" with no reward at the end... 2) it's stages are brutally unforgiving and you'll find yourself wanting to throw your gamepad out of the window many times for ruining all the hard effort to stay on top in a rally just to blow it all in the last stage... 3) I feel that while Dirt has some realistic features the cornering is pretty bad and WRC does it a bit better... yes you do slide a lot but also you are way more in control and the car feels more cooperative with you than in Dirt where I have found myself many times wondering why the hell can't I oversteer the way I want and turn the corner right... I've played both Dirt Rally 2.0 and WRC 8 a lot and I think WRC is a lot more fun in career mode especially while Dirt is pretty much more hyped cause it's fans are nutcases that scream that nothing is better than it (think CSGO fans or League of Legends fans for reference) and while it is a very good and refined game it lacks a lot in the delivery of the experience... Finally, to those that complain about the graphics of WRC 9 tell them this... "you are the same nutcases that were masturbating to Richard Burns Rally for years and years... a game that is almost 20 years old and you complain about graphics???"

@@2sik_UK I agree, although if I had to buy one I'd buy WRC and not Dirt cause I absolutely hate Dirt's career mode... it's a little bit too restrictive and linear for me... WRC's is much more enjoyable and of course the stages of WRC are massively superior... the only issue I have with WRC is that some rallies like Argentina are notoriously hard to the point that if there's rain or some debilitating weather condition it's damn near unplayable and for a gamepad player I'm a very good racer... so an average player would just give up on it.... Anyway... maybe I will check out your channel... have a wonderful day...

@@sportschool3537 you should get a wheel if you can bro, wrc is still fun on gamepad but even with a cheap wheel it adds a lot of value and immersion to the game, I put of buying one for years and got one a few months ago, its been the best gaming purchase besides my console haha. It might change your perspective on the witch is better driving physics and road / car feel, I think dirt wins there sa there is an option for manual handling pattern. Dirt road degradation is good, id say its more challenging aswell. Wrc is a more bulky game though with much more content. Personally I mainly do time trials and try and get fast runs, dirt is better for that imo, especially because in wrc you can't see leaderboards per car class, just the fastest in any car. but I still give both games 9 out of ten, there's always room for improvement but they are great games. I got both games on sale aswell at only £20 each, an absolute bargain. I could only recommend you get both when they're cheap, I couldn't pick just 1
