"...this is supposed to be a sweet, happy kids movie..." Why do kids movies have to be 'sweet and happy'? Our job as parents isn't to bubble-wrap the kids, it's to prepare them for their future as adults. This movie isn't beyond what kids can handle. This movie is rated PG, which means you're looking at kids who are _at least_ eight years old. That means they've been in school long enough to see and understand bullying, which is the sort of thing presented in this movie. And even then the rating specifically means that parents should judge if they think their kids are ready to handle it. If you want a 'sweet and happy kids movie', watch something rated G. _Those_ are the movies meant for the sorts of kids you're thinking about. "...I think there's a sequel..." There is! And it very definitely exists! ... Which is about as much as I can recommend it. It's... it's not that it's horrible or terrible, it's just... _so_ much inferior to this movie, and basically seems more like a cash-grab. There's very little in terms of _story_ to it, it's basically a bunch of meme moments at movie length. ... Okay, that's a touch unfair, but still... there isn't a third movie so far, and the reason is that audiences weren't really fans. I think one of the things that hurts it the most is the number of characters. This movie mainly focuses on five (Ralph, Felix, Calhoun, King Candy, and Vanelope), with a few minor ones (Sour Bill, Taffeta, Gene) and others... don't really figure much into the movie, they don't _do_ anything important. In the second, you have a large number of characters doing important things to advance the plot, and doing major things in it. Moreover, where in this movie all the important people are characters that were introduced _in_ this movie, several of the characters of the sequel would _require_ you to know who they were. If you don't know who Zangeif is, it doesn't matter. Nothing he says, or does, makes any real reference to his existence outside of this movie in any way that he doesn't explain _in_ the movie (like crushing men's skulls like sparrow egg between thighs). On top of that, it violates its own ethics from the original movie, and presents all sorts of problems if you consider what it means. Great reaction, though!

The Cy bug ate candy, so not only did it merge with it , but also gained a super rush to spawn so many eggs

Can you guys watch Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2.

I think your math is wrong. If you were 5 in 2012 (12 years ago) that would make you 17 years old now. 🤔
