If he did go full-time, he would be better off flipping bikes. At least he does not have to worry about needing more room and he can try out different bikes without staying committed to it long term.

Definitely go through and weigh your options. Maybe even repair the easiest of the two first. If it were me I'd consider parting one out on eBay. But, if it were me I wouldn't have bought the first wrecked bike! 😂 You did it though and I am showing you some faith as I just bought my entry a few minutes ago! Enjoying the videos man, thanks.

The more you work on the same model the better you will get at it, and you will be better at finding parts. That triple tree is gone though, the headstock bearing comes with a new one when you buy it. The oil leak and frame rail will be interesting, and yes I like the design that you can replace it. What if you took that motor and mounted it on a new frame?

How much are wrecked bikes at the auction? Is it a considerable discount?

@@Chris-0113 depends on the condition, model, time of year, etc. most sell for 40-60% of retail.

@@Chris-0113 I won the 883 for $1,550. After the action fees and taxes, it was about $2,350 out the door with the salvage title in hand. (I picked up the bike myself in dallas) I watched a few auctions and lots of things factor on bids, like how much damage the bike has and where, and if it has keys with it. You can go to carport website, create a membership for free and watch some auctions. I hope this helps.

Oh wow the front end is just trashed. I’d straight up replace the forks. I’m wondering why there’s so much missing under the tank? Raises more questions, maybe the tank flew off during the wreck? Hmmm. Can’t wait for the next video on these! 👏🏻

The rear pulley could be bent and not the swing arm. Lay the rear pulley on a table and then measure from the bottom of the pulley to the table to see if the pulley is bent.

Possibly. I mentioned the swing arm because it’s off from the rest of chassis including the suspension strut but we will see!

That front end is trashed. Hopefully it exorbed the worst of the wreck, and saved the frame. Long ago and far away I used to straighten motorcycle frame's, dunno if anyone is still doing that. This is Very cool and Interesting 🤔👍

Hopefully the bolt into the motor has not been locktited... i recently pulled the primary cover of my 83 fxdg, i think I was the first one in there in 39 years and it had locktite on all screws.

Hi Brandon. I need to remove the gas tank on my Indian CDH 2022. Is it really that easy to pull off or was it that easy due to the wreck damage. After I remove the seat, I don't see any bolts.

There's two bolts at the front. One on each side of the neck. Also will need to remove the ignition cover to have enough room to remove the fuel lines. Otherwise, it's that easy.

Got mine ~12 hrs ago as well \m/ Loving it! Reminds me of when I rehabbed the old Fiero I used to AutoX some...(grumble grumble) years ago. At least you don't have to worry about fasteners that have been rust-welded together for 2 decades...I got better at using a flame wrench than I wanted to...
