@JennaLeigh
@JennaLeigh 7 ай бұрын
Yes. Sadly, the age-old adage is most often true: absolute power corrupts absolutely. Wealth on the level of VKM affords a level of power that normal people will never understand. No one ever tells you "no". Doors are opened for you, and you have carefully installed an inner circle of complete and utter yes-men. It's my guess that once you've spent years and years getting your way, women throwing themselves at you... the things that are titillating take a turn. Finding something "new" and "a challenge" often gets more and more depraved. We've seen this with athletes, musicians, and the uber-wealthy, and as more people are exposed for this kind of behavior, suspect we're going to see more public/powerful figures catch the same case of Karma.

@@WrestlePodyet you've presented nothing but speculation. Facts in the sense that it's history yet its nothing but allegations and the video and narration is clearly spun in a way to make him look guilty. This social media generation does not understand the meaning of innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Why when he's already guilty in their minds. Nothing is strictly black and white, it's much more nuanced. Vince should have never had affair after affair, as a married mad I do not respect that however I do not believe these stories at all. Rape, sex trafficking? No. These women are not innocent, they know how the game is played and know exactly what to do to go fro 60k per year to an overnight millionaire. It's a story you see time and time again but it's yet they don't make the headlines as opposed to sex crazed rapist billionaire. She knows it will get settled and she will make millions upon millions, the only thing Vince is guilty of is not paying the rest of the money. Now carry on along with all of the others that jump on the bandwagon for clicks and views. All of thes people coming out of the woodwork all of the sudden crack me up. People live for drama and love to see others fall especiallysuccessful individuals as it makes them feel better about their own mundane lives. I'll say it again for those in the back, everyone seems to be forgetting that Janel Grant was a willing participant for three years and only became a victim when the checks stopped arriving. She has admitted it.

@@deepblue8143 Would you be willing to provide evidence for that last part and cite your sources? I have seen nothing of that sort during my research compared to the mountains of evidence that tell us Vince is an absolute demon worthy of the worst pit of hell. Not to mention the degradation, the coverup of Ashley Massaro's sexual assault which Stephanie supposedly had a hand in, which likely means that Paul also sat on the sidelines with his hands over his eyes so he probably isn't innocent either. Now THAT'S speculation. But in all seriousness, I don't agree with your statement that she was a willing participant. Vince had power over her. He knew that. Coercion also does not make it willing.

@@TheJpiscool 2 days later still no evidence provided... Don't think deepblue is going to provide it. I do agree that is & should be "innocent until proven guilty" & I do absolutely hate that allegations alone are enough to literally ruins careers & lives.. because that should not be the case. Look at what happened to Enzo Amore. OR to a larger extent Johnny Depp. Even when proven innocent in a court of law so much damage has already been done just because someone says something happened..& then the accuser even when they are proven in a court of law to have been lying they just continue their lives like nothing happen compared to the accused. Innocent until proven guilty needs to be enforced far more than it is/has been in the more recent years. I will not at all be surprised to learn Vince is guilty..but I'm not going to disparage or defend him until we have all the facts & a final verdict has been made in a court room.

The old stuff with Sable, Trish etc. is really hard to watch actually - and the fact he literally admitted to being a perv on the air half the time (that buzzer saying he's lying for example) is even worse. Just because he was the head honcho, he did whatever he wanted for decades and only now that he sold WWE off was, he finally taken down. I actually wonder if he never sold the company off if any of these other allegations would have come out at least for another few years or so. I imagine some of these women were bought off for their silence and once he sold off, figured they could come forward - let alone they should have had to wait for justice for what allegedly happened.

It’s strange because I’ve heard older wrestlers talk about working for Vince Sr. and pretty much all of those guys have nothing but good things to say about Vince Sr. and speak about him in a positive light. I know Vince Jr. didn’t have a good childhood and suffered abuse from his stepdad, I can sympathize with that, maybe if Vince had been raised by his biological father then things might have been a lot better growing up. But tons of people have rough childhoods in which they were mistreated, but they learn right from wrong as they get older, breaking that cycle of abuse with their own families and going on to be decent human beings as adults. There’s no excuse for Vince’s behavior as an adult. Like you said, Shane has morals and principles and I understand why he isn’t close with his father. As far as Stephanie, with her involvement in the Ashley Massaro situation, it looks like her true character is also being brought to light.
@samanthahope1316

I imagine she’s a product of see what, how, and who makes her father happy. You learn a lot from seeing how other relationships are molded in your life. Vince probably exhibited some very terrible traits while Shane and Stephanie grew up. I can sympathize with the child that watched Vince do that, but once you start harming people as well you’re no longer a victim but now a perpetrator.

What I’m tripping on, if Stephanie McMahon is given the most aut’ority over WWE now dat daddy Vincent has stepped down: Is she going to reverse the cycle twistedly, by putting the dudes in uncomfortable positions instead of the chicks. Vince has already played that role asking women 4 favors and I know t’ere r people asking what leads moi 2 come 2 dis conclusion? I answer: “I know the girl, I know the family.” But, between Vince and his two kids, Shane is the good egg.

I wish this Vince being exposed thing happened in 1999 before he bought WCW , before he exploded into becoming the godfather of pro wrestling . I’m wondering if a lot of these stories finally coming out about Vince now are courtesy of a few P.R shenanigans behind the scenes by TKO just to get him removed permanently for trying to muscle his way back in legally. It’s very convenient that after 40 years and not long after the merger this has all come out. Makes you think. Not saying he hasn’t done these terrible things. But it’s very good timing.

Part of it is vince bit Dana whites hand many times over the decades. In his own head he thought the ufc was his rival lmaoo. So now he screwed Dana over again, so Dana joined the lawsuit team. Dana is a billionaire so, he might own the wwe soon haha

This was great, but you should have started with his very beginnings...tricking his dad, killing the territories, etc, etc, his mother sexually abusing....its important. Great production.

I started watching wwe and wcw in the mid to late 90s i was in my teens and completely oblivious to what was going on backstage during raw i thought everything was a part of the show but it wasn't I'm glad I quit watching in the early 00s when i did and my condolences go out to the victims and families hopefully they get justice

When Vince fully committed to the cycle he was never the same.

I am only surprised that it took this much time for Vince McMahon perverse history to see the light. When metoo started, first name that popped in my head was that of Mr McMahon. I had a friend who worked in WWE in 90s and he saw some weird stuff then. Though he never worked with talent but was close enough to see the day to day operational side of it. He was only shocked that steroid filled wrestlers were humble and professional enough not to exploit their power with female models at that time(apart from couple of wrestlers) and was shocked that management side of WWE were in his words "scum of the earth". My friend boss told him on his first day not to bring his girlfriend or sister backstage as people here liked young women and he was thankful for the advice.
