I haven't done nonsense like this in decades, yet having been in situations before, I can promise you that the only thing you want to hit more than your opponent are the drunken know-it-alls shouting suggestions from the crowd. Unless its at a official tournament, I can attest that more often than not, the crowd knows less about fighting than these two idiots.

The good old guillotine without having your legs wrapped, and the headlock from bottom. I think UFC 1 showed us that neither of them ever work, and they are the typical sign of not having a clue what you’re doing..amazing how many people still think they can survive a scramble without Jiu Jitsu or grappling, that they’ll somehow muscle through it all. Apart from that, it’s pretty disgusting how they just let a novice take a whipping for KZbin likes..that said he signed up for it I suppose.

Well, this was certainly no less entertaining than all the other Streetbeefs that I've seen ;) Having said that, this is not for professional fighters but rather mostly untrained guys having a wee bit of macho fun. So, well done to all for having a go and giving us a bit of a giggle ;)

It is absolutely not for professional fighters, but some of their fighters are actually pretty skilled. Fair Play in particular is a good boxer and would probably do well as an amateur.

Watching fights like this truly show the serious bias that people that train have when discussing what you actually need for a fight against someone that is untrained (which is 80-85% of people). When you train with people that all know what they are doing skews what you really need, which is very little actually.

You gotta watch any and every solo fight on street beefs. He doesn't have good grappling, they're all kickboxing, but he is just so weird, it's hilarious. I get excited when he fights because it's so crazy like what the hell is this guy doing.

10 years ago, even 5, I'd have watch fights like this no problem. But, you get older, your test goes down, your slippers get comfier, these lads that are putting their bodies on the line - for a pack of cigarettes, in a car park or back garden - get closer and closer in age to your own son (or younger) and... it's not the spectacle it once was.

That was hard to watch. Not quite what the title hinted at - par for the course - and ... I don't know. I find it hard to give kudos for them even showing up to fight because I feel like they shouldn't have. Maybe they'll accept critique and learn? Fight team!

Not a grappling centric fight but it might be interesting to have a look at the Artem Lobov - Denys Berinchyk fight from a more historical perpective. It's from a Ukrainian bareknuckle promotion called Mahatch. The rules seem to be typical modern bareknuckle rules.

Fight Team! Don't feel guilty. I would argue that what they are doing is good. They are giving a safe environment for people to experience a real fight. You won't understand violence unless you meet violence; you won't understand aggression unless you are meet with aggression; you won't know what's fake, until you meet what's real. Streetbeefs are giving people a safe avenue to air out grievances and will most likely take the fighters down a path of a martial art. Near all martial arts (especially of the Western) teaches control of the temper and of yourself is paramount. We need more Streetbeefs. Must I remind you that at one time England hosted many gentlemen clubs (not strip-clubs but the real ones; the ones we would know as gyms/dojo), as much as they seemed to be around every corner. And America was at one time holding legal wrestling matches on street corners and boxing matches in bars/ cafes? And those were "safer" times. What I am saying is that confronting any martial aggression usually forces a person to take that prowess and mold it into an art.

There must be some good or famous grappling/wrestling matches that you comment on, even if you've seen them before, surely? Maybe some BJJ championships that you can review as a Catch wrestler so we can get to see the difference, or maybe some competitive Wing Chun which you can react to as a pugilist?

@EnglishMartialArts StreetBeef simply copies over MMA rules. So kicking up is allowed. Streetbeef is VERY specifically invented/geared towards amateur fighting, literally people with 0 or minimal training/experience. Simply 2 guys wanting to try out MMA fights without qualifying or anything. Just have a friendly "whack" at each other. Two adults having fun.. I watch them for a long time. There are more professionals there but they are careful about the matchups

A huge indicator that hes kinda green, is how much energy hes expending, especially when he had the headlock from his back. Oop also reaching down for low kicks, immediately. That isnt good. Dealing with side control requires training... Welp, hes game! I think hell either legitimately train after this, or never fight again... And gosh arent american women classy? FIGHT TEAM!!! God bless all yall!

"There's got to be some good grappling out there, hasn't there?"..."Send me a link to one that's got good grappling in it." I'm sure it's easy to find a fight where two teenagers fight a "streetbeefs" MMA match on a patch of grass surrounded by cyclone fencing that features solid technical grappling. Seriously, it's going to be hard to find a match where BOTH guys are skilled grapplers. Two trained guys could be slumming it on the grass to the exasperation of their gyms individually. But if those guys are smart enough to train, they should be smart enough to avoid each other outside of a real ring.

Someone with legit sports MA training is far above most anyone without it. The guy in the shorts knew how to control his opponent and the fight was one sided. If mouthpiece guy went to a legit MMA school or a BJJ academy with some boxing/kickboxing he would know how handle what had happened. Sometimes I can only understand these type of fights if its a guy with training just wanting to experiment real time with people who basically will be victims..
@davidemelia6296

These crackhead fights are hilarious, although it does make me feel guilty watching them 🤣 (But seriously, the guy who organises them is exploiting 'his fighters' worse than Dana White exploits his - some of those videos have millions of views, and that's a lot of ad revenue! The fighters do not get paid a single cent.)
