I want to hear Undertaker talk about the Ministry of Darkness and his thoughts on it cause in my opinion it was his best work along with Big Evil. Also that Ministry theme was the greatest entrance music of all time! Thanks Mark for all you’ve given us

It was fantastic to look back and I remember Taker vs Snuka at Wrestlemania 7 for it was one of the first Taker matches I saw on the VHS vids at the time and to this day I remember it like it was yesterday. Despite what people say about him, Snuka said wonderful things about Taker and always was excited to wrestle him and he said on the Streak DVD that it was a amazing experience and that it was a great rush for both men. It was to me the beginning of the "new Phenom" and for Snuka to pass that on to Taker had to be an honour.

My hardest thing to get over about the The Undertaker character is at the beginning, both of the most powerful forces in WWF The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan couldn't even knock Taker over and then much smaller guys like Bret and Shawn can break through to the impervious Undertaker's defenses. The beginings of the Undertaker was awsome. Origionaly his movement was phycotic, chaotic and fast. He would litteraly crush his opponents and then throw crushed dead flowers on their mangled bodies. Slowing it down took away from the taker, then managing to get matches with bret we really got to see how great the taker could work and his matches would start going down in history as being some of the best.

Personally I agree. By far the most epic achievement in a sports entertainment world. Almost a 30 yr run annually. That's some Gordie Howe shit. Playing pro hockey in 6 different decades... It's impossible to ignore how "old school" Mark Calaway is. Having said that. (I don't speak for him just IMO) I believe there was zero chance that streak remains in the end. That's not how "wrestling" works. It's tradition and an honor to "pass the torch" 99% of the true GOATS of wrestling believe this. Brock I don't think should have been the 1 in 21-1. Brock didn't need it. I agree with you and I wish he stayed undefeated. But it's also wrestling and I don't think it matters. Undertaker is the undisputed Wrestling GOAT either way.

@@rayhoyer4829 that's hard to argue because it's fact. It does hurt his legacy. It does suck that Brock ended it. Even worse when Roman beat him.. That one hurts... To go out undefeated at Mania would have also hurt his legacy. Because when he does retire that Streak becomes a plateau... A record... Plateaus are designed to be reached and records are made to be broken Thus when the record is broken you have now destroyed a legacy because he is now statistically number 2. At least this way there is no record to be broken and the Legacy remains... Honestly, I need to just stop trying to justify what is a mistake. The streak should never have been broken!

I remember watching Undertaker live somewhere in Ohio in 1991, my 10th birthday my parents took me, my brother, and best friend to watch WWF, and then the lights cut out and the that gong hit. Like he says it was all about the character back then and he scared the crap out of us kids, i was actually scared because i knew my little dad could stop him..still thinking wrestling was real and he was a dead guy of course..lol Great memories.

This isn't a podcast but it's a Godcast with The Undertaker to me now also known as "Deadman Talking". ( Get it? It's The Deadman Walking into the Deadman Talking era ).

I just saw something where he said the belt should be traditional only, without custom belts, but he has a custom belt front and center in his setup...

Yeah, I didn’t care for the snarky comments from this cohost. Who even is he? I guarantee you he would not be sitting in that spot and making money from this podcast had it or been for the likes of Hogan building this industry in the first place. Standing on the shoulders of giants.

@@danieldonnelly3589 Taker should be a little more respectful aswell, back in 91 Hulk was coming to the end of his prime, in reality he should have retired after WM8, he was going to be very political when he had to drop the belt, especially as he had pretty much owned it for the past 7 years

Have you All seen Steve Austin VS The Undertaker 3/8/1989 ( Steve Williams VS The Punisher ) Undertaker then defeated Austin with a leg drop . For this reason, I am surprised and amazed by Undertaker. If this move was funny to him and to some of his fans, why did he use it against Austin and win over him with it !!? Also Let us not forget that he lost to King Mable in 1995 after Mable executed a leg drop on The Undertaker. Yeah go laugh at that Undertaker lol

You guys need a smaller room. I know it sounds like a horrible idea with all the equipment and how big you are, but the smallest space possible with some sound dampening will help the audio from echoing. So glad we got Undertaker having his own podcast and all the stories he’s never told.

Undertaker was really big and tall for a 90s wrestler and it must have been hard for a wrestling promoter to have him lose a match. It makes sense McMahon used heavy guys like Yokozuna and guys around Undertakers size like Kane to wrestle.
