I did this workout after my "main" excersises heavy squat and some leg curls. I started with 12 kg on all stuff except the row it was 16kg. Since i didnt know where i was at weights on this. So next time i go up some weights. Will make this my weekly excersise routine after heavy squat. I did notice at round 5 things started get less reps in and just try make it done. And i agree all this 5 excersise is exactly like a wrestling match.

Coach, excellent kettlebells workout. Russian wrestling coaches are fanatic about kettlebells and every single wrestling club in Russia has lots of these bad boys. Russian wrestling coaches, especially youth coaches invented myriads of kettlebells exercises . Really helps to build strong body and endurance. Actually, youth are not allowed to pump the iron in wrestling clubs in Russia, and use modern fitness machines. Youth are only allowed to play with kettlebells and do some basic Olympic lifting exersices.

Thanks! I didn't know the part about the youth, thanks for the information; sounds like a good decision from the coaches part, better motoric skills long term
@WilliamsWrestlin3 жыл бұрын
Wow. Is this current? If so, how come? I would love to know more about that perspective of only allowing youth to use only kettlebells and olympic lifts

Holy shit brother, i tried this just now on my workout and i finished lap 2 and quit, i see black in front of me and want to throw up so hard it's crazy, simulates the most high intensity of wrestling and boxing clinch and in-game, the workout is amazing, i just gotta progress to 5 laps 💪🏽

Can't believe I finally found a channel with the information I was looking for. I appreciate this as a boxer who lives in a remote area (no access to coaching besides myself). What are the ideal rep schemes for speed development or speed-strength as it applies to boxing? Unlimited as long as there is enough rest? I'm going through and binge watching all of your videos now so apologies if you already answered this question in a different vid. Love the work, it's very appreciated!

Thanks for your kind explanation, but I'm a bit confused, 10 rounds mean go through exercises #1 to #5 10 times (to complete 1 set)? Or go through #1 to #5 two times to get 10 rounds?
@xtianefe6 ай бұрын
It’s the latter because it’s about 6 min and 30 seconds and he mentioned a freestyle wrestling round is 6 min which he wants to emulate.

Program look great dude one question though, how much should the kettlebells weigh from someone around 200 pound? I've been doing mostly bodyweight workouts and want to dip my toes in with kettlebells since I don't have much room for a barbell and bench.
